Shaving daily

I was speaking to a friend about laser hair removal and she said she would probably go for it as her leg hair grows quite fast and she has to shave quite regularly.

She then said that if she were to live with a guy that she would make sure that he never saw her with a bit of hair on her legs. At the moment she is single and, when wearing trousers, won't shave every time a bit of hair shows up.

So my question is lads, do you care about a little leg hair (now I don't mean hair left for weeks, etc but a bit of stubble)?

Not in the slightest. My ex used to get really weird about me touching her legs when they had a slight bita hair on them, even if we were getting intimate. I was like "Here love, if letting me touch your stubbly legs is the grossest thing you're gonna do to me in the next hour, I'm gonna be disappointed." :p

Joking aside, I really don't see the big deal. It's just a bita hair. If it was a forest, I'd head for the hills (ho ho!), but a little stubble never hurt anyone.

Exactly, I didn't see the big deal myself, but she was adamant on having to be smooth all of the time.

Can I move it myself, or do I need a mod to do it?

You could leave this here and post a new thread over there?! You'll still get mens thoughts here but more in TGC :)

I'll speak on behalf of my boyfriend here :) I only ever wax my legs when we go on the annual sunshine holiday and go au naturelle the rest of the time.

He doesn't even notice the hair, says it's too blonde too see. He is more interested in more, ahem, intimate areas than legs being de-haired!

Of course I think it looks dark and noticeable but waxing is too painful and expensive to be doing all the time, especially seeing as I don't wear skirts or dresses.

Well some of the guys are scared of TLL now, after that whole backlash against men we had in here a while ago!

Men scared of Women! Only hairy women who don't shave :p hehe.

In fainess while a smooth leg is nice, a bit of stubble shouldn't turn a guy off and if it does I think there are other issues going on.

Fair enough for casual flings and that both parties should generally be looking there best, but in relationship not a big issue.

If it's the first time the bit of stubble would be a turn off and prob not want me going there again, If it was a few months after meeting the girl I'd care less once it's not scary hair growth.

Also I'm 21 so it depends how bad I want it tbh

Yep, that's what I was trying to explain to her. I'll have to show her this thread now so that she's no so paranoid.

Not true, I got two replies in The Gentlemen's Club and many here ;)

You got three replies in TGC and three (maybe four, not sure if one poster is a guy or not!) from guys here! So it's much of a muchness really! I wasn't saying your post was inappropriate or anything here, I was just trying to help!

Stubble on the legs wouldn't bother me, however proper visable hair probably would.

I think some women are obsessed with the idea of maintaining perfection.
They don't want men to see them without make-up or with a bit of regrowth on their legs / anywhere else, because that can destroy the fantasy that they are the 'perfect' woman - or flawless.

I was actually like that for ages. With one guy, I pulled the "shy and innocent" card because I hadn't shaved my legs. When I admitted the truth about a week later, I realised that (most) men don't really care! He laughed and said it was silly.

If a guy genuinely wants to be with you, he's not going to be too fussed if your legs haven't been shaved in a few days, or if you have your best blush on or not.

Daily sounds a lot of work for her, wouldn't really care to be honest unless maybe it was really bad :D

I shave my legs on Friday and Saturday and not the rest of the week. This is directly related to the fact that I see my boyfriend from Friday evening to Sunday afternoon.

:D This cracked me up because I used be exactly the same with my ex boyfriend. Come Thursday night i'd be exfoliating, moisturising, shaving, waxing, plucking, the whole nine yards. I'd be so smooth and silky he could eat his dinner off me. :D

One Thursday night he surprised me by arriving at my door unexpectedly. My housemate was in hysterics laughing because she knew I was torn between sheer delight at the surprise and utter horror at the thoughts of my hairy state.

Similar plan of action to Faith. During the week I wear black tights to work so don't always shave. But ever since I was about 16 I also felt so gross with hair on my legs, underarms. Stressed me out on a trip to Paris this year when I knew I couldn't bring my razor (and buying cheapo ones over there ripped my skin to shreds). I tried bringing it last time in my hand luggage as a friend of mine had gotten thru no bother and it worked. Happy, fuzzless me.

Haha, similar story here! A few weeks ago I realised with horror that I'd forgotten to shave my legs. I was desperately trying to sneak off for a quick shower, while my boyfriend clearly had other things in mind! I finally ended up desperately blurting out "I never shaved my legs!" :o. He insisted he didn't care, but I was too aware of them at that stage and made him wait while I sorted it out.

Or another time we were away from a few days. I was wearing a skirt*, and he was running his hand up and down my legs. I let it go on for a while before mumbling "I haven't shaved my legs in a few days...". He looked at me out of the corner of his eye and replied "...I noticed". I was morto!

*The hair on my legs is very blonde, so it wasn't obvious to the naked eye.

Oh crazy girls have the idea that men will never feel hair on their legs, see them without make up or not being a shiny amazing goddess.

If a girl was trying to hide the fact that hair grows on her legs from a fella, she shouldn't live with him. She should consider why she has such self-confidence issues.

I usually shave every third day or so... I jus dont like hair regrowth. It comes naturally in the shower like washing my hair most times!

How much hair did you have?!

  • Hell no, I could never shave daily. I have better things to do. When I'm visiting my boyfriend I try to make sure I'm reasonably well maintained, but if there's a bit of stubble, who cares? I think he knows I'm not naturally silky smooth (unfortunately!)

I think i shave my legs roughly once every.......10 weeks.

I don't wear make up unless I'm going clubbing.

I have been known to wear the same jeans..(gasp)...three days in a row.

I dyed my naturally blonde hair brown.

Hahaha I don't bend to and ideal woman fantasy!!!! ;):D

I have shaved my legs (well, left leg) once ever. It was because my leg was in a cast for 2 months due to a dislocated kneecap and the hair on my legs turned black due to no oxygen or light or whatever getting to it.

My hair is naturally light blonde and there's not much of it so it might as well not be there. My legs always look like they've been shaved anyway. Tis great!

I shave my armpits about twice a week.

Haha, I was the same in the first stages of going out with my boyfriend. I think everyone tries to look their best to impress the other person. But then when you move in together reality kicks in. Ah we are funny though at times :D

I suppose I shave my legs every second day, I've really fine hair you can't really see unless looking very closely but I just feel more groomed myself. I have to admit I always shave before I have "company" though!
