Looking at how much people have sometimes spent on night outs made me curious about everyone on here. So (excluding weddings since they can get out of hand very easily) what would be the most youve ever spent(or lost if somethin **** happened as a result of your drinking)?

I think the heaviest night I ever had would have been maybe €150 - €200 but that was a very generous night on my behalf ( think I bought everyone I even slightly knew drinks).

Spent about 40 one night, my wallet was worth 130 stolen and was stolen that night, it had 70 in it. Also meant I had to replace my student card and Garda ID so about 275 in total :(

I won 2,000 eurons in the parish lotto one time and was already pissed when the check was handed to me, so I decided to go to the Credit Union to cash it and ended up in Amsterdam that night with 3 of my mates.. I spent the lot over 2 nights

    haven't been right since

got a bonus during celtic tiger (ah the memories), and combination of a Laser card, coupious amounts of guiness and a 'special' club in leeson streen I was €850 aprox less well off the next morning.. I did however feel a little like Toney Montana for a while though, followed by the next morning feeling of ah for **** sake!

Over all on the debs it must have been something ridiculous if you include the limo, suit etc spent about 250 that night on drink alone.

I'll never understand how people can spend 150-200 euro on a night out. I've had some fairly heavy nights in town and I've never spent more than €70-80 max.

I basically drank a four bedroom 2.5 bath house in the suburubs in the 90s.

I don't think I could I could break it down to any one night.

I lost twenty quid once. Brought the nights bill up to €50. Im quite proud that i never go above 50 on a night out. And im always hammered :D

Most i spent in the local was like €210. Mainly because the bitch I went out with at the time was sponging off me like mad!

Won 5k playing poker and spent €600 of that in one night in galway. I got v.drunk v.early and could'nt resist buying everyone i saw that night a pint!:(

You should only be getting your elbow loosened after €50.

    Lightweight

Man I must have a problem so.

I would always spend over a hundred on a decent night out.

Have occasionally spent 200. That could be when i'd be up all night and the party would continue into the next morning/afternoon.

a 70cl bottle! It tastes like paint stripper and you'll be hungover for a week but you'll be good and drunk on the night :D

Back when I worked full time during the summers as a teenager my budget would maybe creep up towards the €100 area, but that was factoring in a taxi and no-predrinking. Now anything over €20 is a "big" night. Though there have been nights where I've gone out with €25 and woken up with €40, thought it was fantastic and then hazily remembered a late night atm run :(

I was going to ask how people could manage to justify spending over a hundred on a night out as a matter of course, but then it was pointed out to me that that's probably by people who go out the odd weekend whereas I regularly head out three nights in a week :pac:

Spent €170 on a night out before. Went through a constant cycle of chips > sick > pint to wash out taste > hunger > more chips > sick > pint to wash out taste > hunger > cycle repeats etc.

That ate up a solid 90€ I was in such a state.

    Around €250.

    €100 on drink/food/taxis/entry
    €150 gambled away.

it's funny how the posts where people have gambled never won! will we never learn!

I'd say nearly 1,000 in my prime.

Expensive drinks, hotel room, and.... stuff.

I was playing with the big boys back then.

    I lost. :(

If they won they'd hardly have "spent" the money would they?

Maybe start a thread called "What's the most you ever won/found on a night out?" to find if the same people also win at times.

The arithmetic of blowing, say, a ton in Dublin are simple.

Ten drinks at a fiver each.

    Smokes at eight a pack.

    Taxi Fare.

    Some Nosh.

    Bingo.

If you are going to go on a bender it is actually cheaper to fly abroad to do it.

I went to Berlin for 24 hours in January. Ryanair special €30 including all extras.

Smokes are less than four a pack. So buying just one carton already covers the flight.

Beer in local pubs is about €1.50 per half litre of lager - far superior to what you get here.

Resturants about half the price they are here. Great clubs, mostly free in , and the city is open 24/7

Ryanir flight left Berlin at nine the next morning and, excluding the savings I made by bringing home 800 cigarettes, I spent less than €150 in total.

Leaving a night club one night very hammered i wanted to buy two bottles of vodka for a house party they charged me by the shot and in my drunken state i paid €400 for two bottles.

About €300. Good night that! Normal weekend night is probably €100.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,081 ✭✭✭Fromvert

    Christmas Eve,
    Pub - 3pm
Taxi - sick, garda station, fine and fare.
    Sleep for a few hours
    Kicked out of Garda station
    Taxi
    Home
    Christmas Day - Huzzah

    Cost me about €300

    Average night out I'd easily spend €100 - €150.

When I was in the summer of first year of college I lived with some great lads but piss heads the lot of us. We ended up on the lash for something like 28 nights in a row, I still managed to work two jobs, one in a call center the other as a bar man :-) I felt like one really long night out and was definately the most I've spent on drink probably about 3 grand... Awsome summer thoug although got the flu for 3 weeks after when college started again, stands to reason really...

    Cloakroom = €2
    2 bottles beer= €10
    Food = €10
    Taxi = €10

    total - €75.50
