Nice spot OP. Requirement was 'orders over €95' up to this offer.

+1 from me for the company too.

    They have great stuff!

Do they accept orders in Sterling from non-UK customers? The free shipping limit is for Sterling is £50, but they seem to be cheaper. Some random items:

adidas Originals Womens Rod Laver Vintage Trainer White: €40.24 - £31.49 (~€36)
Schott Mens Full Zip Applique Heavy Knit Top Anthracite: €51.74 - £40.49 (~€46)
Schott Mens Fleece Lined Stripe Full Zip Knit Top Black/Grey: €57.49 - £44.99 (~€51)

The Sterling shop seems to have 10% off everything ("PRICE INCLUDES EXTRA 10% SAVING").

I think they do Robert but you'd have to pay the postage if ordering from sterling section

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,035 ✭✭✭Soarer

Where is the option to change from € to £?

EDIT: Never mind. You do it on the homepage. Your euro basket doesn't transfer across to Sterling though, so you have to input everything again.

Sneaky. Best to click on the logo at the top of the page before adding to the old basket :)

The link in the first post leads to a different site. For euro prices go to

    http://euro.mandmdirect.com/

I used this lot very happily a number of times before they went and did the euro thing. After they did it, I had to create a new account and had so much bloody trouble with the order that I've given up on them completely, which is a pity becasue they USED to be so good!

    It is what it's.

I've used these a lot myself over the last year or so and all but one order went well, and that one troublesome order was due to the courier service they use in Ireland "losing" the package. Couple of emails later to them and they sent the whole order again no problems.
The courier service they use for Ireland leaves a lot to be desired but otherwise great prices and good service.

M&M are on bethrifty.ie, 4% cashback. It only takes 2 minutes to join and youll save a fortune on web. Can't believe more bargain alerts arent posting about these guys, 10 times more useful/better than pigsback!

Using myself for 13 years. Used to get their catalogues in Match magazine back in the day. First order in that time went wrong last week. Their system lost all orders placed one day. All prices had went up for what I was getting, quick email and they honoured the original prices no hassles.

    Sorry, what's a refferal link? - I'm self taught on computers so there is a lot I don't know.:o

I originally got an email from them about this offer (probably cause I had shopped with them already) with a link in the email so I just copied and pasted that link for the post.

Was this the wrong way to do it?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,344 ✭✭✭RobertFoster

A referral link is used by affiliates of a website to show how many people they have referred to that site. Certain affiliate programmes are set up so that you can get a small percentage of the sales you refer. It's used by online shops to generate more sales, as people are more likely to recommend a shop if they can get a return themselves.

If you copied the link from an email, it is more than likely that the unique id at the end of the URL was used so that M and M could track who actually clicked through from their newsletter, and was of no referral benefit to you at all.

A&F from US = taxes to be expected.

    M&M in UK, no issues.

Yes the offer seems to have changed since my original post. The 10% off everything is a recent addition. Just look carefully at the closing date for free delivery - when I saw it first the international (including ROI) expiry date was different from the UK date.

I've bought from these guys a few times and always been happy with them, that is until the last items I bought...they included a few copies of thier catalog in the package and on the cover it had a big sticker saying "£1 = €1.25"....feck that, if they won't let me pay in sterling and are insisting on using a rip-off exchange rate the I'll buy elsewhere (exchange rate is at €1.11 today btw).

    If you're talking about M&M, I disagree.

eg Berghaus Cornice 1a jacket for E104 delivered. You'd be very lucky to get this in a sale in Galway for E180. Timberland boots E52 delivered - if you could find your chosen size & colour in Ireland, you'be looking at E120, minimum.

Not a chance, not sure what you are comparing but I have been buying off these guys for years and no shop in Ireland would touch their prices.

Give us an idea of why you reckon they are expensive and who you are comparing to. :D

There is free delivery on orders over 35 euro until Dec 7th according to the website and an email I received off them too.

Ummmm, any examples?! I've been buying off M&M for the past two years and I've gotten great deals on shoes, runners, tops, jeans and jackets. I'd see the same clothing in some shops here and there would be a huge difference in the price!
Definitely highly recommend M&M, and can't go wrong with free shipping!

Is there a chance you could get caught for vat on items over lets say €100 or more....

I am a first timer at M&M. I hope what I ordered goes ok!

No there are no VAT issues as m&msirect are based within the EU in the UK.

I found that it was cheaper to buy what I wanted in sterling and pay for the delivery with the exchange rate as it is.That may not apply to all purchases though.

I think Parcelforce hand over to Interlink Express for delivery in Republic of Ireland - rural areas anyway.

    Well pissed off,
both colours of an item in my size were sniped in the last few minutes.

Hate when sh** like this happens,

    Anyway,
heres a voucher code that will get you £4 off shipping from the uk site if you spend over £50:

I got an email saying something about the credit card not matching the delivery address. I emailed them Fri and no reply so rang them today. They said it's now okay and I have been charged (nothing on online banking yet). The girl I was speaking to said, my goods haven't been dispatched as of yet, which I'm not too worried about. As far as I am concerned, the site says 5 - 10 working days. If you bought something on Ebay, it would take a week from Uk, so I'd def give MandM a week before calling them.

Its been 7 working days since I got the dispatch notice. My main concern is that everyone seemed to get their orders within 2-3 working days of getting their dispatch notice. I sent them an email last night, so hopefully I will hear something back today.
