    Hi all,
Quick question, can someone please explain to a confused soul what positive and negative phases of a repitition are, and for example in a squat / leg press or dumb bell curl where they occur:confused:

positive phase - muscles contract, weight goes upwards.
negative phase - muscles extend, weight goes down.

    In general anyway.

As above, FYI - excentuating the negative is really really beneficial.
