As Des has said here, well-liked and respected boards.ie poster eirebhoy has been attacked in Sydney and has sadly passed away.

I thought this would be suited here, as more posters will see it in the is forum than anywhere else.

I for one would like to extend my sincerest condolences to his family

Never had any personal dealing with the guy AFAIK... but from a quick read of some of his posts in the past, he seems like a very decent sound lad.

I'm not sure but maybe in a few months Boards.ie could organise an event or night in memory of Eirebhoy with tickets, raffles and prizes and the money can be donated to a charity on behalf of Eirebhoy? Maybe someone might know of one who he liked or mentioned before?

Just a thought.

I suggested something in the mod forum a couple of years ago.
I'll try to find it.

I'll ask that people not take this thing any further.
Leave it to the mods please and leave this thread as a tribute to another lost member of our community here on boards.
