I'm looking at adding an SD card to mine at the moment!

    Tell me more!

@Pyongyang: The only place I could find the needed flash chips was auction with 2 chips. Interested in getting one for yours?

While I am waiting for new atari and few bits for it, here is my dc modding plan:
    1. Overclock + change cristal in vmu
    2. dual flash
    3. SD card??? - depending what are benefits.

I'd be interested in an overclock definitely. Not sure about the dual flash, I don't think I really need it with my modchip and bios switch. I'm interested to see how your one works out though.

    Don't suppose you're keen on doing a Model 1 Saturn chip? :D

Straying OT here so maybe PM is best.

Be careful with the DC overclock lads. Enternow overclocked my one a while back and it didn't work at all. Button presses were doing wrong things, games were speeding up, slowing down and chugging. It was an unplayable mess.

He had a feeling it was something to do with the PAL mobo revision. I think all the guides online were for NTSC models. Can't remember what speed the oscillator was..but if it worked it would have been great!

Wouldn't bother with the SD mod either. I have one of those SD adapters for mine and the compatability is tiny.

I picked up Paper Mario: Thousand Year Door on the Gamecube for 16 euro today, it was in 3D Games on Grafton Street. GET THE **** IN!

3D Games on Grafton Street have some real (and I mean real) classic gem of PS2 games. lots of anthologies such as SF2 Alpha and Metal Slug etc. Also a bunch of Square Enix RPG games. but they are a little too much IMO.

Ah, mine is PAL flashed to NTSC-J. I think I'll leave the overclock then in that case. I'm very happy with my modchip and BIOS switch. The SD thing never interested me anyway as a) I've read mixed views on it and b) I really only want to be buying legit NTSC-J titles anyway.

Cheers for the info though o1s1n and I hope The Doc will show us all how his 'DC Double Stacker' mod works out. Pics please!

Yeah there's a few nice oddities in there for sure, but the price is just to high to justify what are often curios that would simply be nice to have.

Aye, I fit it with a 40Mhz oscillator (there is an internal x6 multiplyer so 6 x 40 = 240Mhz, the stock is 200Mhz). Straightforward mod, everything went well in a technical sense & the console booted. I presumed since it passed POST etc, everything was grand - then o1s1n delivered the bad news. Once I removed the oscillator & reconnected the stock clock signal to the cpu everything was again well.

After some info digging, the only possibility was that his mobo variant had issues with the newer clock signal :(

    Mega Man Wily Wars?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,798 ✭✭✭Jack burton

Ah come on lads, I wouldnt be making a deal of this unless it was one of the hardest to get games for the system. Maximum carnage was gotten a good while ago

    Splatterhouse 3?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,798 ✭✭✭Jack burton

Retr0? Splatterhouse 3 never got a PAL release, just NTSC and JAP

The game I got was Death and Return of Superman. One of the hardest to get MD titles that its actully possible to get if you know what I mean. It commands a high price but nowhere near the 4 or 5 figures that games like Tetris for the MD demand

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,456 ✭✭✭Josey Wales

A side scrolling beat'em up with Superman? Sounds good.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,798 ✭✭✭Jack burton

knowing how these things go its more than likely a **** game

    **** off. Just **** right off! Who/how/what/why/where?

    Is it complete?

    Was it expensive?

    Have you fapped?

Man, congrats. I'm pretty sure that's harder to find than Wily.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,798 ✭✭✭Jack burton

Its complete and mint. Coming from another collector, wasnt as expensive as i thought.

When its in my hands it will have cost me in total about 170, which isnt good but I dont think its bad either considering.

Plus whats the point of money if you dont spend it

Nice. I saw a SNES copy in RAGE a while ago for 70euro and it was marked "rare" but I didn't believe them.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,798 ✭✭✭Jack burton

No idea about the SNES version of it now but the MD version is usually marked as "extremly rare"
