Cross-trainer suggestions

    Hi all,

I'm in the market for a cross trainer and have a budget of abnout 3oo euro for one.

I've been using the cross trainer in the gym which is a large machine with a large stride on it. The ones I have seen in arnotts, for example, have a smaller stride but will help me get back in shape I think.

I have taken a look through the Argos catalogue and wondered if the Reebok machine that is half price is any good, or if there are any other ones on this page that is just as good/better for the money.

    Thanks all.

    Cringer

Personally i'd have a look around on adverts.ie, gumtree etc. for second hand ones. Their fairly solid machines and often barely used by people who get them so could pick yourself up a bargain.

Just had a quick look on adverts and there are loads of them there. See here

Can't really comment on any of those ones you linked 'cos I've never used those specific ones, but the one thing I'd look out for if I were buying a cross trainer is the gap between your feet. I've noticed that cheaper ones have a larger gap between your feet resulting in a slightly unnatural feeling when you're on the machine.

edit: That's a good idea on the 2nd hand front.
