Hi Guys, my first post in the fitness forum.
To cut a long story short I suffered a spiral farcture of my left tibia which ran into the ankle joint. I was out walking my dog when I slipped down a grass bank:rolleyes:
That was two weeks ago and I had an operation which inserted a plate and 7 screws. Ysterday I got my first cast removed and another fitted. The Doc said it was healing well and I would be in the 2nd cast for 4 weeks after which it would be removed and physio would begin.

So my reason for posting is to ask anyone who knows what physio will entail and how long should it take to get back to full fitness.

I should add that I was in good shapen before the accident, not overweight, non smoker and led an active lifestyle. I played lots of golf , walking the course carrying my own bag and walked my dog twice a day for around an hour and a half in total.

I would also like to know what type of exercise you guys recommend to build the muscle back up to its origional levels? Leg muscles have wasted a good bit already so I can imagine I will be a stick insect in another 4 weeks:rolleyes:

Thanks in advance for any help offered.:)

Please take this up with your physio. This forum cannot give medical advice.
