O2 Usage Application

Here's a new desktop application for keeping track of your O2 inclusive units and past usage.

http://o2-usage.com

It runs on mac and windows, java 6 is required.
Here are the plans that have been tested on so far

O2 Active Life 150 + sme + data
O2 Clear 175
O2 Clear 350 + sme
O2 Advance 175
O2 Speakeasy Plus
O2 Speakeasy More
O2 Broadband, 18 month contract

In theory it should run for all plans but there may be some bugs to iron out.
Give me a shout if you've any problems or bugs to report and we can sort them out.

No plans for a meteor version at the moment.

Not reading my data correctly. I have unlimited texts and have sent more then 150. Less call time also 208.47mins

Login to www.o2.ie, then go to:
My Account -> Details since last bill -> Inclusive Units
This is where the application reads the data from.
Send us on the html source from there and I'll try to fix it.

The 156mins is what is remaining - not what is used. The 150 texts seems to be an o2 thing for those on the free texts add-on. All figures, it seems, are what is remaining and not what was used.

hmmmm maybe but as I have just changed my bundle (i now have Active 175 with an add on of 200 txts) and my bill date is late in the month.I hope to sweet lamb of divine intervention I have used up 300 txts in a week.I have the app open all the time .Does it need to be closed then opened?

You can re-generate the data by right clicking it and there will be an option for it there. Try that.

Hi bcmf,

Ideally you'd let the application run all the time, so you'll just see the little O2 icon on the system tray.
Then, if you want to do a quick check of your remaining units you hover over the O2 icon,
if you want to see some detailed stats then click on the statistics menu.
It scrapes your O2 inclusive units page on computer startup and every 12 hours after that.

Can you compare what the application is showing you against ....
www.o2.ie (login) -> My Account -> Details since last bill -> Inclusive Units.
They should match, hopefully

I'm on a business plan with no included minutes or txts (certain free calls instead) but the utility is indeed showing my 250MB data remaining for the month (and it is accurate, by the way). I use my mobile as a bluetooth HSDPA modem quite often so this is incredibly handy!

It takes 2 to 3 days for the o2 site to update.
