Are you saying my personal selection is horse manure or are you disagreeing with and other posters saying that 2009 has not exactly been a stellar year music wise?

You really need to listen harder.

Mind you, that complaint comes up every year. There's always exciting music. Years are just the passing of time.

I've been very content the past few years with what i've been hearing. I found this year to be especially boring and samey. Everything was hype this year. Nothing good has come of it, just a bunch of names that i've already forgotten(thankfully).

Naturally theres material coming out thats good, but its very diluted this year imo

Am I alone in hating this track? I love the album (except Kiss with a Fist and My Boy Makes Coffins), but this latest release smacks of something done for a charity album.

Why do a cover when her own work is so stunning?

    My top 3 -

    1. Rabbit Heart - Flo
    2. Audacity of Huge - Simian Mobile Disco
    3. Crying Lightning - Arctic Monkeys

And it's been a great year - all those mentioned plus Wild Beasts, Simian Mobile Disco, Fleet Foxes, The Raconteurs, Brendan Benson, La Roux, Noah and the Whale...

Them Crooked Vultures-Gunman(find that grooviest so far, but many great songs)
    Pearl Jam-Force of Nature
    Dream Theater-Count of Tuscany

Honourable mention to Transatlantic-The Whirlwind, but thats a 77 minute song, and couldn't just include the epic last section. Valium Knights by Spinnerete is good tune too.
