MFC71.DLL is missing - Windows 7 64bit

Ok, bit of a problem.

I installed Windows 7 Professional, 64bit.

Now my main mail application (Eudora) won't start because it says MFC71.DLL is missing.

Yesterday I was running Windows 7 Professional 32bit and had no issues.

Any ideas how I can resolve this?

Sorry I can't help but am amased... People still use Eudora?

You could just use thunderbird?

Also,Have you tried the latest beta?

Driver issue. You will need to find a 64-bit driver for Eudora.

Oh hell yeah. A brilliant mail application. Much better than Outlook or anything like that.

Thunderbird is quite good, but I've mail in Eudora going back years, and would prefer to keep all that too.

Hmmm. I did find info that Eudora should run fine on 64 bit (XP 64bit) - http://eudorabb.qualcomm.com/showthread.php?t=3957

I'll keep digging though, and see what else I can find.

I think you need the visual studio 2003 runtime

It's a microsoft DLL so check on technet - http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa984696(VS.71).aspx for techie stuff MFC

If you dynamically link your application to the MFC library, you will, at a minimum, need to redistribute MFC71.dll and MSVCR71.dll. All MFC DLLs use the shared version of the C run-time library (CRT); thus, MSVCR71.dll is required.

this probably won't work - on the off chance it's there but forgotten about
Open the command line and run this command: regsvr32 mfc71.dll

Oh sorry, should of said I know Eudora, used it on my Palm m100 and had a irda link to my 7110 to check my mail, cool program just didn't think it was still going.
