Whingeing Racists...

First of all, Nick Griffin gets totally humiliated on BBC`s Question Time, now he`s lodged a complaint against the BBC about it, an action that can only add to the humiliation.
I`ve just watched the debate on BBC I-Player, and honestly, the man was utterly inept! He sweated and squirmed under public scrutiny, was unable to deflect criticism (like professional Politicians can), and his arguments just didn`t hold water.
And now, the sad bastard`s moaning about it!!

How many BNP threads do we need? We're not even British for fricks sake.

i don't like him but, but this could work in his favour with public sympathy and all that, he was afterall set up for a fall esp seeing that 99% of those in the studio were against him.

He wasn`t set up, he just couldn`t handle the situation. He showed himself for what he really is, and now he knows the country, on the whole, despise him.
The grilling that Griffin got was no worse than when the likes of Blair, Brown and Cameron go on there. The difference was in how they handle it.

I'd agree that it was all very childish and not a typical show, but it's not as if he didn't know what to expect, and if he really didn't expect it then he's an even bigger idiot than he appears to be

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,476 ✭✭✭Riddle101

The show was a load of crap. Instead of talking about about politics, it seemed like an all out attack on Nick Griffin. Now i'm not defending a scumbag like him, but the politicians on the panel should be ashamed of themselves for not trying to discuss BNP's policies more. But it looked like the politicans were just riding the coattails of the audience.

Still though it was good to see Nick "Publicity" Griffin sweaten in his skin. He really had no comeback to the guy that that said "would you kick me out of Britain"

The man's a huge idiot no doubt but the way the BBC set up the whole show to be "anti BNP" (for lack of a better phrase) was typical of how far the standards of that particular channel have fallen.

your forgetting that this is a big cock up on Labours part (and conservatives tbh) the fact that a fascist group is getting support is outrageous! to put it lightly. They are simply trying to make them look worse and alliterate their stupidity and childish veiws to the public so that when the election takes place they won't get a seat.
if they do they could be concequences diplomatic mainly

    i thaught as much!

gotta say, while the BNP are much to extreme, i feel we in this country need to do more to protect our national identity and such. I think we should allow the free movement of europeans, but we should start cutting down on our refugee intake and such, as i know many people will take this as a racist comment, but im sorry but most refugees arent really. theyre just looking for an easy ride.im not saying we shouldnt let in people from outside the EU, just that we should only alllow those who apply to come in by proper means.

its outrageous in the sense that his views are based on cero logic, he is led by the view that we are the 'indigenous people of britain', 'that ethnic cleansing is occurring' people in britain are mixing with people who dont have a purley british background, sound familiar?? its the same thing that happened in germany to a much lesser extent mind you.

country goes bankrupt - people become annoyed with those who keep jobs (jews) - country becomes racist - country votes in a facist.

ok yes that is extreame but you can see why its a problem, considering britain 'treats ppl as equals'

i am in no way saying that nobody is racist! but i do think people need a bit of cop on
its easy to accuse a minority and thats what they're doing.

We have had variations on them, all the way back to the 30s.

More recent versions include Justin Barrett and the Immigration Control Platform, maybe the National Party back in the 90s, and though not strictly parties, Cóir/Youth Defense might yet make a go of getting someone elected to a council in some backwater in the wesht.

They don't seem to do very well here. I'd like to think it's because we're very open minded and tolerant, I'd imagine it's more due to the fact that we haven't really experienced much in the way of immigration until relatively recently, and economically we've been doing well for most of that time.

Edit: In retrospect, it might be a bit unfair to include the National Party.

That's exactly what you would be called by the media establishment in the UK, which is why none of the major parties there will address the immigration issue and so, people turn to the BNP instead:

Britain have the obligation to allow asylum seekers into the country especially those from Iraq and Afghanistan since they are over seeing their country.
not only that but due to its colonial past it has a responsibility to allow people from these countries into Britain for example Pakistanis because the majority have connections etc.

We are a nation who have known the neccesity of migration; hopefully we survive the grave economic peril we have placed ourselves in and keep that in mind when dealing with those migrants in our own country.

I felt the American woman came across as condescending,as for her being aware of the origins of the British people , mentioning the ice age and Neanderthals hardly makes her an expert on the subject.Nick Griffin did not get a chance to reply as the 'host' interrupted 'saying 'if we go back to the ice age , we'll be here all night'.
The other woman stated that her father and thousands of his countrymen and thousands of Africans fought during WW2 against fascism ,this is a lie, the Africans were drafted into a war that had nothing to do with them and most hadn't a clue what they were fighting for and nor did they care.

Bonnie Greer was her name and she does know a little something of the ice age etc whens shes a curator of the british museum.
never the less not all Africans were drafted, some volunteered (like the irish) out of hopes that their country would be given independence.

we're the majority, therefore more likely to be white, so everyone takes it with a pinch of salt. if someone who said they were black said you white whatevers THEN that would be racist. Don't be dramatic and silly.

You clearly need to travel more, educate yourself more and read; everything from history of human migration, space exploration to science fiction. Science fiction, that's it, if more people read that, they wouldn't be so narrow minded and nationalistic.

Why, even if i knew nothing about it, I could tell from your post that many africans and african-americans did fight in WW2.
Presumably you have interviewed all those still alive who fought and the relatives of all those killed in order to know that none of them knew or cared what they were fighting for.
And you then contrasted this with all the brave Irish and British boys who sallied forth into the breach, having first completed phd's on the perils of fascism, choosing to foresake lucrative careers in other areas.
Yeah, those africans who died in the WW2; how dare they presume they had some stake in the whole affair.

Have people mentioned the fact that every mention of Nick Griffin in the media will ultimately help his cause? That even though he's being shown up as a stammering half-wit, when some BNP lackey comes to the door and mentions him to Mr and Mrs Caucasian living in Bromley, that they'll immediately say "oooh I've heard of him love, what have you got to say? Really? Oh I wouldn't want that, maybe I will vote for them so"?

No such thing as bad publicity for politicians in this farcical democracy of ours. Or something, I can't concentrate with that damn whitey bitch screaming out for her cat!
