    Ive been swimming daily for months now & walking (most days) too - having good success weight loss wise. My prob area is my hips so am wondering is swimming or cycling better exercise & which is better for the hip area & burns most fat?

    not being smart at all here, but whichever gets your heart rate up the most will burn the most calories, there is no specific exercise which will burn fat from hips, unfortunately you just need to reduce fat overall and it WILL come off hip area given time ... try intervals, make sure to mix things up, try weights also, buy dumbells if you are not a member of a gym .. and above all, make sure diet is good ...

    Thanks a mil for reply - i do 30 laps swimming & fairly feel it but done 20 mins cycling in hard gear this eve & was f$$ked to say the least :) think your right will mix & match - yeah diet is good well I think so anyway :O
    lets see what you think....

    Typical day
    Breakfast will be eiither
    porridge with skim milk
    Unsweetened museli with skim milk
    Eggs scrambled or boiled.
    Weetabix with skim milk

    Snak fruit or yogurt.

    Lucnh would be either
    wholemeal pitta filled with tuna/salad or chicken/sald or turkey /salad odd tiem would be ham.
    Weightwachers meal or soup.
    tuna pasta salad (small portion pasta)

    Snack - fruit.

    Dinner - only eat red meat twcie a week or so usually chicken/fish with boiled potato / pasta (always watch portion)
    Stir fry.

    Evening - sometimes will have a bag of light tayto (velvet crunch) or a silero or soemthing but only maybe 2 nights a wwek - also go out once a week & have few vodkas & diet 7up .
    drink 2ltrs a water a day. drink tea with skim milk & sweetener.
