    Ask the unions first, by god dont do anything to a PS worker before talking to a union.

    It would seem so that the Public Sector are delusional. If they think for one second that they will be greated with anything than contempt by the rest of the public they are a silly bunch.

    I wonder whether the majority of the public sector workers actually back this move.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 84 ✭✭MrEko

    Bunch of self centred muppets the lot of them. Jack O Connor is nothing but a trouble causing, thick headed idiot who is stuck in the 70s. Does he honestly believe that striking and causing hassle is going to achieve anything? Where does he think our (equally stupid) government is going to get the money to keep paying the public service? Can they ****e it? Because if they could I'm pretty sure we wouldnt be in a recssion right now.

    Yes, I dont like unions, if only for the reason that SIPTU insist in threatening strikes at Dublin airport every Christmas and thats when I fly to visit my girlfriend. I really am not looking forward to whats going to happen.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,462 ✭✭✭Orla K

    Nope, I'll be at an opening of an exhibition, I'll have stuff in it and I'll get free wine and snacks

    Tax increases = the solution

    Tax increases = bad

    Cutbacks = good

    Why fund wreckless spending? It's silly.

    I wonder whether anyone actually read the item linked to, or how people came to the conclusion that the Irish Congress of Trade Unions represents (or at least purports to represent :pac:) only the public sector?

    That's far too long to read.
    **** that.
    I'll just assume the government ****ed up so the government are on strike until the government sorts out the government. And the taxi drivers are probably pissed off too.

    The Irish PS is one of the best paid (if not the best paid) in Europe, it'll do no harm to knock a bit off their sallary.

    Anyone that shows up to this march is just being naive, the money has to come from somewhere, and to those who say "What about the Private Sector" ive news for ya, the govmnt doesnt pay their wages!
