Sound on SHARP flat screen TV

I have a SHARP AQUOS flat screen TV but I'm not very happy with the sound.

For some programs voice seems drowned out by the music - others voice can be indistinct. News programs are fine, just other programs with background music or noise.

I have tried raising treble and lowering bass and have "loud voice" on but no great joy. I have the TV on a stand. Would it be better mounted on a wall ?

    Any suggestions

Switch off any audio enhancements like Effect, Surround, etc...

Bring both high- and low-range sound down and boost the mid-range---that can help balance the sound.

Some TVs have BBE: this can help to equalise different volumes across different channels or even in the same shows.

Other than that, repositioning a TV can make a big difference. Sound tends (for me) to get "lost" when there's a wide open space around and behind the telly. IMHO having it in an enclosed space can focus the sound to deliver a much clearer audio. You mentioned a stand: I'd imagine that if it's not placed perfectly it can cause slight distortion of the sound thanks to vibrations, but otherwsie, stands tend to have minimal effect on audio quality.

    Hope I helped somehow!:pac:
