    Hey,
Not sure if correct forum but ill start here. Would anyone mind taking a look at my monthly budget and tell me if this is adequate. I always get to literally €0 in my account at the end of the month. I dont feel i run amuck but i do go out at least 3 times socially also. Just looking for comparisons really on whether my budget is normal-ish or not thanks Attachment not found.

Hey. The budget seems good to me. You might have missed one or two things which could be why you end up with no money at the end of the month- car tax, bin charges. Maybe you spend more on the non direct essentials than you think?

Only thing I can suggest is that you take some of your credit union savings and pay off your house of frasier card and bank loan. That would increase your cashflow and save you interest.

Agree with both above. Possibly missing out on Bin Charges, Car Tax.

Do you buy newspapers? If so thats adding up and even if only the sun its still €30 a month. Read online.

Do you buy bottled water? This can be cut down buy using tap water or filtering it.

Agree with using Credit Union Savings to pay off loan quicker/frasher card.

Food/Petrol: in my opinion and going by my spendings it seems very low.

Other than that it looks accurate enough!

Not sure where you shop but €150 for food per month sounds low to me. Are you sure that it is not €150 per week?

    Bin Charges, Car Tax.

Bin charges are incl in mgt fees and car tax i just pay as it comes up every 3 or mths depending what time ive paid for previously.

Yeh i suppose more like €200 but €80 in Lidl would keep me going for at least 2 weeks or so.

definitely take €100 of the credit union savings or more and add to the bank repayment. Pay it off much faster and would have saved some interest. When its gone (much quicker) it will be like getting a big pay rise. Ask the bank when would it be paid off if you added an extra 100

My advice , would be Eat the fridge one month anyway. ( what i mean by this ) People are sometimes oblivious to what they actually have in the pressess and their freezer/fridge , make do what you have for one month will free up some expense. Now this is obviously a SHORT term soultion.

Another thing is the credit union saving/ loan , Look at the interest rate for your House of fraizer card and then compare it with getting a short term loan from the credit union. This can save ££££ . That was just me looking at a glance , again this practice would also suit regarding your bank loan check the interest rate on that , and if there is any penalties for paying it back earlier.
