Hi, over the years my ankles have gradually being getting worse from going over on them, and on my latest event, Gael Force, i went over on it again. To make a long story short i still can`t run on it, tried 5 days ago and its still not right yet. So that makes it about 5 weeks off the road now. Anyone who runs knows how frustrating this is. I`m very eager to get back so just wondering has anyone ever tried pool running or aqua jogging or anything-i`ve heard of it but never tried. All info and advice appreciated.

i done my ligaments years ago and there still not right. I found that walking at first in water along the beach helped alot. I walked in water up to nearly knee hight for about 3 miles stretched it then walked in water again for about 15 mins. it helped a bit and i think it worked well ..

Welcome to my world I am 1 month off training now but I am back next week. I was seeing the physio for my 1 month off getting treatment and strengthen the ankles back. I can run now but my akilies tendon is very tight so plenty of ankle stretches.

My advice is for you to see a physio and stay away from running till your well and ok. You don't want to make it worse your 5 weeks could turn to a year.
