Advice : Exercise During Injury

    Hey there,

I slightly tore a muscle in my hip last week, the tensor fascia latae, during a handball match. I've been on a weightloss/fitness kick for the past 8 months and I still have about 3 stone to lose. I'd really like not to lose my momentum while my muscle is healing, at the same time I obviously do not want to aggravate it further. On a normal day I would do a 7 mile combination walk/run, 40 minute spin class and some upper body weight exercises.

Would anyone have any tips on how I could maintain my exercise hours whilst not causing my hip muscle any harm? Thanks in advance :)

If you're currently injured that's really only advice that your physio could dispense, sorry.
