Since the government did not respect our last decision when we said NO and today’s unmitigated disaster for our country can we have another referendum.

As it seems the current dictatorship doesn’t respect our vote and democracy...

What part of No did they not understand?

Now we are going to be under complete fascist control of the EU (aka the new Rome)

well done Ireland the scare mongering worked...

Let’s see how we are in 12 months!

The same time the min wage is dropped to €1.84:rolleyes:

Lenahan has already back peddled on that one. What jobs and what recovery? It ain't gonna happen as Dell etc have found a cheaper place to do business and I wouldn't be surprised to see another few move to Poland just to ensure they ratify the treaty. The Irish have, as usual, been taken for complete mugs. The proof will be in the pudding( rice, just like the good ol days)

So you're denying a company say from Latvia can come here and pay the minimum from that country?

Since it's been debunked about 14000 times on this forum alone, I'd say he can deny it. Even the No side realise that claim is one of the most spectacular own goals in a campaign full of them.

Actually, I think there is a legal way for a Latvian company to do that. Of course they'd have to fly the workers in to Ireland every morning and fly them back to Latvia every evening. Wait a second... didn't Ryanair campaign for a Yes vote? I smell a conspiracy

What part of 'addressed the concerns of the public and ran the vote again' don't you understand?

    Why do you hate democracy?

    1. There's an EU forum

    2. There are more coherent threads about some or all of these things in the EU forum.

Go forth: learn, teach and remember that tangents are often bad things outside of trig and calculus.
