Still Raven too. Always intended to swap once i had levelled up but never got past level 45 hope double xp helps boost that this weekend.

Did have some practice goes yesterday all right. It does nt take long to get back in to it

Cool, at least I won't be alone Might load it up in a bit just so I can get some practice runs in. Have still never figured out why so many FPS games have so many different control configurations.

Won't be long til I'm healing like a madman again. Nuts to shooting, it's the other guys dying and you healing them is where the XP is at :pac:

I've now just realised how long its been since I last played MAG, the massive updates I'm currently downloading and installing is everything they've brought out since early March

You gonna be on MAG this weekend Wolfie? What about Notor I wonder? I'm still Raven though, about level 45 or so I think. Hope I can hit 60 and switch over the weekend.

Working tomorrow night, have to go to a tournament on saturday followed by heavy drinking, then have to work sunday, so don't think i'll get a chance :P

How do! Yeah I'll probably be on MAG over the weekend. Picked up the Interdiction pack there earlier, mainly to show a buddy what MAG is like hwo's thinking of buying it. I switched to Valor but I'm at Level 33, hopefully can plough through quickly enough and switch again at some stage over the weekend. Very tempted by the Transformers game too so might get distracted by that, but if I'm on and around give a shout!

Does MAG still have a decent playerbase? I've been meaning to get it for ages, but every time I see it I change my mind in case nobody plays it these days. Poor EndWar

I wouldn't be too concerned about the numbers reaching a point where you won't be able to play MAG to be honest. They had been declining steadily pretty much since launch but seemed to stabilise for the few weeks prior to the latest DLC & patch this week.

Even then there were ample players on the servers, a mix of hardcore fans and new recruits, and you could play any game type at pretty much any time and wouldn't be left queuing for too long. There was an awful lot of whingeing on the forums about the declining numbers but I never had an issue with it tbh. And now with this new content and double XP weekend there will be a surge in numbers playing again so its probably as good a time as any.

Think i read it has 2millions players ! thats quite a number not sure how many are playing now but i was playing Tuesday-thursday and got into games no problem. Was playing the new DLC yesterday it just needed more people to have time to buy and install it i would say but still got into a few games with out much of a wait.

Think Game have it for 28 euro used now ( in limerick store anyway)

Don't play as Valor ever.....Veteraned as SVER and went to Valor....they don't use mikes at all, unless its a few mates playing together. Very painful experience.

Yeah that's why I used the last Double XP weekend to plough through Valor to level 33, will probably use this weekend to finish it off. Very very frustrating. Like trying to pull down your zip while wearing oven gloves.

Don't waste your money on the new DLC, hardly anyone on and takes ~20mins to get a game.

Ugh, can't get back into it. I don't know why, just getting very frustrated. Don't know if I have the patience to get used to how the guns handle etc. Forgot that enemies tend to be bullet sponges so it's throwing me well off. I fear I'll just be sitting around in a carnage of broken controllers if I keep playing it! Tis not the game's fault, I just can't handle the frustration that'll ensue in the time it takes me to get used to the feel of the game again! :P

It was like I never put it down. I love this game. The controls and feel are so nice and light. Helps that I put the sensitivity high and wear mesh

Ah yeah, I'll get back into it eventually, just not today. Took a break from Battlefield because I was getting frustrated with it, or more accurately, how I was playing it, and wandered into a more frustrating situation in MAG so I bid a hasty retreat back to Battlefield. Better the devil you know and all that. :P

Was in GAME yesterday and they had MAG in the pre-owned section for €28 if anyone is interested. You'll probably find it cheaper if you shop around but its not a bad price.

I really miss being on a team of people that can play. Played a full domination game where the squad leader frago'd the first cooling tower and everyone just ran at it for 30 mins. 3 of us asking for the bunker to be frago'd but to no avail.

Not too gone on the new game type its a bit of a scramble.

Not into the new gametype myself at all. Shame, the maps are brilliant.

I hit level 60 with Raven yesterday. Re-speced. Set up my load outs nicely and... decided to go SVER. Did my time with Raven. People seem to cower before you as SVER, and I went up 6 levels straight away with crap points.

I think I could live on this, Demon's Souls and Joe Danger forever.

Ive played a few games of the new DLC its a balance between not having enough people knowing what to do and that its everything i hate about BFBC2 or MW2 where people just scramble around trying to take the same 3 points without any tactics or skills to it. It just seems to be the team with the most players attacking one point wins it untill the other team respawns and then all attack at once and take it back and that just keeps going like that.

Went back to domination. Missed most of the weekend's double XP

That might be true of MW2, but its certainly not true of Battlefield. The more organised team or squad always dominates, and when you have two sets of pretty equally matched teams it all comes down to tactics. It's not quite as focused as MAG is when you have a good leader etc. but it's not half as chaotic and all over the place as MAG is when you have a poorly organised team.

I cannot get a game of anything bar Sabotage with S.V.E.R since going Veteran and joining them from Raven. I got a couple of games of Domination. I want to go back to Raven.

In queues for ages, here. Anyone else find this?

Don't S.V.E.R have a larger amount of players, that would make most S.V.E.R have too wait for enough Raven or Valour to be available. i haven't played the retail game but S.V.E.R having more players is right isn't it?

Yea it doesnt matter how many you have on your team you have to wait for both to fill up. The DLC is impossible to get into a game was on the other night only 64 on each team sat for 10 mins it got up to 68 people on the team when i quit for a game of domination.

It got better as the day progressed and America woke up. The DLC is ****. Pure and simple. Silly and messy. You spend most of your time running in open space and when you're holding an area, it just becomes a grenade hive. I wish they had come up with something better.

SVER can be very annoying. They like to push people back to their spawns. There's no points to be had. The best games in MAG are when the teams are evenly matched and meeting at the Frago. Xp party.

Not sure if you agreeing with me or not, but you need to have both teams fill up and as the larger team is not in demand as much they have to wait.
