Here we go again folks, Ryans 4th week at the helm. He should be relaxing into his role by now, let hope he will reduce the cringeworthy moments, and stay the hell away from his hoots in the audience.

Only one guest known to me at this stage, poor old Bernard Dunne, a sound man, a good boxer but alas has a porcelain chin. Easy for Ryan, he's interviewed Dunne plenty in the past.

Agreed, he has nothing to be ashamed of really, he's a decent Irish family man and he's very open in these types of interviews. It's just a pity he probably hasn't earned enough to retire form the ring. I look forward to the interview though, I'm sure he'll get the reception he deserves. Rikki Lake now on the other hand.

If every viewer pledged 500e to Bernard to knock out Tubridy, he'd earn more in one night than he ever did before. With the added bonus of no hope of being hit back..

The RTE said something about "cheeky chappies". So that could mean Ant and Dec....but I have a weird feeling that it could be John and Edward from X Factor?

Dear God please do not let it be the twins. They are a national embarressment.

I doubt it will be the twins... they won't be able to give any info away so there wouldn't be much interview material! Thank god.:o

Yeah I agree I wouldn't say I'm a fan or anything but they don't annoy me, and that counts for a lot!! Not the worst of starts to the show.

I loved the blondy one really emphasising the Catholic thing. First he emphasises about 4 times that his parents are from Derry, and then he makes the point of saying 'good irish catholic family'

Ok we get ya Mister Ant or Dec, you're 'one of us'- we wont lynch ya after all!

    :P

I only heard him say Derry* once.

    *Which is in the UK.

I agree. Bit of grudging respect for them. Dec doing the gollier impression was quite funny even if he reminds me a little of Tom Cruise. Tubridy I think has done well with the guests he has gotten on the show so far. I couldnt imagine the plank getting on so well on these.

How many people can say they have been World Champion?

Family man, gracious in defeat, I wish him all the very best for the future.

Tubridy is quite sensitive as well in dealing with it.

  • Banned (with Prison Access) Posts: 2,493 ✭✭✭Fulton Crown

Yeah..he's ok now ..relaxed into it

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,316 ✭✭✭Reginald P. DuM

Good interview I thought now, Dunne is a good man, that Thai guy he fought was a serious fighter so no shame in defeat. He got a great reception and deseerved too. He's good enough in front of the cameras to persue a career as a boxing pundit if he chooses to retire. Good luck to him..

think that was the worse interview i have ever seen/heard, was looking forward to what duune had to say, but tbh, was very disapointted

    :(

Bit harsh I reckon, what exactly were ya expecting? It's a chat show, so ya were never gonna get indepth boxing analysis. Plus it's clear Dunne was hurting talking about the fight, by the looks of his eyes he hasn't slept an hour since he lost the belt.

a bit harsh maybe, agreed duune was clearly shock up, and i felt for him, was hoping to hear more about his feelings, just felt he was repeating the same thing alot of the time, and it just seemed that turbity got a bit lost at times during it as well

i like turbity, i like his personalty, just felt it didn't go great for him there

I dont really care how hot she looks. There was something seriously wrong with a generation that thought it acceptable to do paternity tests on TV and show a man dancing like its chicken tonight because he is not the father. WTF was going on that that show even got aired!!!

I also thought it was an awful interview and it turned into more of a counselling session. *yawn* He could have wrapped it up in half the time.

Your talking about America here now remember. They have sunk to lower depths since that. A former Mayor of Chicago and his motley crue of bouncers come to mind. The non daddy's reaction was hilarious I thought. Happy days for him.
