It depends....which arm will you be working on first? ;)

Not a good idea to split your weights up like that. No good doin legs in september and chest in october kinda stuff, actually it's mental. Ya need balance. Would be funny though if ya just worked on like one arm and one leg ;)

Your upper body will grow faster if you combine lower body work with your upper body work as oppose to just doing upper body by itself. Do a good full body program or at least a split program that incorporates all main areas of the body at least once a week.

    Hi O.P.H

yeah thats what I usually do but playing alot of tennis at the moment and find my legs are just tired and need a couple of weeks off! Thought I'd use the time to focus on upper body just for a few weeks although Ill most likely bring some legs into my back session.

Why not try some sport-specific compound exercises?

Although, if you're a beginner, maybe that's not a good idea. Just stick to the basics. Train your chest and your back first. Your arms are used when training those. Don't just train arms.

He didn't mention that he played sports?

OP i'd suggest have a look at the stickies, a look at the logs and then come back with your questions.

Was just a suggestion. The OP doesn't have to take it on board. You're right though, the stickies will help.
