His #7 taunt starts up looking like the animation before a red fireball comes out. used it a few times and it worked to bait a jump in (to get me in my redfireball recovery frames), as you can start it up, then cancel out and AA

I personally like his #6 taunt where he turns his back and does the Jesus pose and shouts "such ineptitude"

Yeah got caught with that a few times the other night!

Oh, and I hate english voice akuma!! I find the jap voice much better

Oh yeah, so do I. Most of my characters are Japanese, except for the English and American ones.

I really like english voice gouken. Nothing beats the "its no use" after a successful parry/counter

Thats his 3s taunt  I never pick akuma without picking taunt 7 :p ryus taunt 10 is his 3s taunt too.

Its gonna be interesting actually if dudley and ibuki are in this as their taunts were a part of their gameplay. Ibuki jumps on the other guys shoulders and hops over them (this will ko them if they've no health and she'll wave in slow motion :p example ) But mid fight this taunt pretty much works the way fei longs switch around thingy works.

Dudley throws a rose at you.:D Its a big part of his corner trap game and so forth. Works similar to how Sean uses his basketball. Because the taunts actually hurt the other players it'll knock them out of the air etc The game prevents dudley and sean spamming their taunts though.

It'll be a pity if they remove this aspect to those characters, be interesting anyway to see what they do.

I read somewhere that in SF4, dudley's story is that he is looking for a rose (as opposed to 3rd strike where he was looking for his car). So would that mean he doesn't have his rose taunt?!

Yeah but he has his car at this stage so he just drives over people with it instead. But only the people with no dignity.

As for taunting don't really do it much but seeing how it annoys so many of you here I'm going have to start using it much more :D

You don't have to taunt to annoy us :P

taunting doesn't annoy me at all in sf4, I really enjoy the personal actions lol. Started messing around with Gen recently, love his personal actions and I will use them if I'm playing as him :p

It's not really taunting, but it could be viewed in the same light. How do you all feel about attacking after K.O.? Personally I like to dash back when possible, attacking is a bit like rubbing it in. Unless they deserved it :p

    Thats worse than taunting

I always go for that extra hit after the KO.

I just like the slow motion aspect of it.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,678 ✭✭✭D4RK ONION

The worst post KO hits are the ones where your opponent waits just til you're about to hit the ground to jab you... Grrr.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,229 ✭✭✭Dreddybajs

I don't care about hitting them post-KO (nor taunting), most of the time myself I'm absent-mindedly mashing buttons and it happens anyway.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,084 ✭✭✭✭Kirby

I hit after KO all the time. I just use it as a game to play.....and try and use different last hits every time. Don't see it as taunting personally......its just there.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,985 ✭✭✭animaX

I always do Sagats fake kick after KO (not always intentionally) since the slow-mo makes it so easy to execute by just pressing HK a few times. I'd say that's pretty annoying on the other side though!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,067 ✭✭✭L31mr0d

I'm the same after the KO. Will usually try and see what I can get out. A slowmotion jab reset before they hit the ground is hilarious.

Another thing that looks hilarious is quickly doing a bunch of crouchs on the spot.

Not really doing it to taunt, it's just something to do during the unskippable slomo at the end of the match.

i dont generally taunt unless its funny. i tend to find that console players and ppl playing console games on the pc get wound up far easier which is hilarious. you need a brass neck to play something like DotA ya see :p

sorry to bring sf3 again but there was more time to hit opponents so u cud do cool juggles, sf4 should have that because theres alot of wait watching your opponent die/fall till the next round

but you can post win taunt the annoying noobs with silly tactics that get em through championship mode :)

it's not as bad as the tekken series, where you can just continue to kick the crap after your oppenent for a while. Well, that's how it used to be, haven't played it since 4.

Wow I never even considered hitting the characters after a KO might been seen as mocking the player or rubbing it in. I always hit them, mainly cause I like to see people go out on a strong hit, as its a ko after all :p I hate koing someone with a ****ty looking jab or short, I'll make sure to use a strong hit of some sort afterwards. In fact sitting there looking at your opponent as they patheticly crumple to the ground seems to me more like a rub in then continuing to hit them lol.

I'll often try to get a two hit move in also. If the ko move sends them into the air, I'll often try to jump up after and hit them again in the air. Some characters like Ryu, for example, their feet just go through the character and you don't get a hit  But cammy and ken can do this.

I'll sometimes focus attack people during a ko. Lastly, I love landing the ko mid super cancel. So a super comes out after a ko (on the final round), it just looks bad ass.

For me I just want people to go out on a move that looks right, jabs pokes sweeps don't feel like they should be koing anyone :p

**edit** although one thing thats carried over from 3s as an insult kinda thing is using chunnies bitch slap after koing them, but she has a bitch slap yea gotta use it muahahahaha

As Nina, I always used to try and KO with her kick to the groin. Best finisher ever... the opponent goes out crumpled into a ball holding their balls... then you get to see the replay, lol (actually replays of the final few seconds of the match is something I really miss in SFIV)

I agree. They could implement it if both players press X after the round is over or something. That way, it would only show up if both parties wanted to see it and it wouldn't piss off the sore losers. :p

That's right, that was AWESOME, I always used to do that too, beautiful crotch mauling at it's finest! :D

This is why I play Bryan Fury.
    He LAUGHS & GAINS 5 HEALTH. :D

Same with the heel-to-the-fallen-opponent´s-groin (or as I call it, Mistress Step).
Hmmm... I wonder if there are Bryan/Nina fan-fics based on this very idea... :pac:

For me, it depends on the setting (casuals or tournaments) and who I'm playing against. My bro and I used to go through phases in our 3S sessions where we'd taunt after every fight.

Also, if I'm playing against someone online on 2DF, if they taunt, I just taunt after massive combos or after rounds.

I'm not really bothered by it when it happens as its just a game because its all for a bit of fun but I don't do it when I'm playing against people I don't know very well or people I don't know in case they get very bothered by it so prefer to avoid any awkward situations.

Dan is an exception though. Taunt every chance you get :)

People who play Bison are required to hit the opponent after the KO. Bison is a dirty fighter, everything he does is dirty, dirty safe scissors kick, dirty torpedo, dirty throw, dirty pokes etc etc, Bison is the only character who is allowed this and still be a classy guy because his SF 2 music, stage and cape are so awesome, all he needs is a field marshals cane/baton to poke people with to complete the theme so he can poke anyone with an air throw out of the sky!

As for taunting, most people don't realize that light scissors kick, medium kick and rounhouse kick are actually Bison's taunts.
