Are there any shows still on that really irk you, get on your goat and generally just baffle you as to there continued existance on tv?

Which shows would you like to see resigned to the tv dustbin?

Two and a Half Men is long overdue. Unfortunately, people still watch it, so on it rolls.

Heroes is another one. Awful, awful show. Hasn't been good since the end of season 1. And the funny thing is, everyone who watches it(including myself) knows it's awful, yet continues to watch it.

Pretty much everything on MTV, Eastenders, anything involving celebrities (Especially Katie Price) and talent shows (X Factor, etc...).

    MTV full stop.

I'd be here all night listing off shows...You'd really need to ask the question 'Which channels do you want cancelled?' first. TV has devolved in the last 10 years, mainly thanks to Sky Digital and the plethora of mind-numbingly trashy channels it came with.

All these US dramas like LOST and CSI are the worst culprits for me...the uber colorful, movie like production values just dupe the masses into thinking that it's actually worth watching.

It would be better to ask 'what shows would you keep?'

Good tv is in short supply

Was only thinking how ironic a name for a channel "Living" and the amount of programmes they show about death and spirits stuff.

The Simpsons, Family Guy, The Cleveland Show & American Dad all need to go. I also don't think they should revive Futurama as it will only go the way of The Simpsons.

Anything that starts with CSI or Law and Order.

Everything on the CW apart from Supernatural.

    Everything on MTV.

Desperate Housewives, Grey's Anatomy, Private Practice, Mercy and any other crap aimed at women.

Plenty of other things, but all of the above piss me off the most.

Eastenders - terrible, depressing, awful. i could go on and on and on.

i thought when they decided to bring back Bianca they would bring her back stinking rich or something, but no, she was still the same depressing person she was when she left.

why can't anybody be happy in Eastenders, is it something in the water that makes them all depressed and bad tempered.

what about Corrie, its the serial killer part 2. did the writers think we wouldn't notice, (hey, we had great ratings when we had Richard Hillman as a serial killer, lets try it again with somebody new, nobody will notice). hello! we do notice. we've done the whole serial killer, leisbian/gay kissey kiss thing, lets move on. to, oh, ailen abductions, we haven't had one of those yet...

Most bad shows can easily be avoided so I don't mind them.

But The Simpsons is just depressing. One of my favourite all time shows but now the sad fact is if you picked an episode at random there is more of a chance it would be a stinker then a good one. Very sad to see it dragged through the muck like this.

..or the fact that, quite probably, none of your favourite episodes have a production date later than 2000, 2001 at the latest.

At the very latest. I was watching some older episodes on dvd recently from the shows golden period and noticed the Bill Clinton and even Bush Snr gags which just hit home how long since it was good. Maybe it was all Bush Jnr's fault? I was thinking it might be worth another try now its the Obama admin but then I remembered catching the Paddy's Day episode....shudder....

Friends. I know it finished up some time ago, but there are two or three satellite channels which repeat them ad-infinitum. I had the misfortune to endure the last ever episode of Friends last night on E4. At the end, I said 'thank god' to my wife. However, the continuity announcer then said that they would be starting Friends from the very beginning again on the following night ! You can't bloody win.

    What?!

This is the best time of the year. Friends was funny at the start. Now we're at the furthest point away from when it turns into Gay Ross, Fat Joey, Stupid Phoebe and everyone else show again.

    Fair City

Any show where 'Ordinary' punters embarress themselves and get paused, ego fart judgements from celebtirty 'experts'.

Any show where celebtrities pamper their ego attempting the most difficult challange of their lives by learning to dance on ice or go to a place far away with no five star facilities anywhere close.

    E channel should be removed.

Any show which runs down a list where unknown journalists / celebrities describe the scene/moment from twenty years ago in graphic detail like it only happened yesterday.

    MTV should be removed.

The following rubbish should be cancelled or put on its own dedicated pay-per view-channel so I don't have the misfortune of switching it on by accident:

Eastenders: I would love to see all the residents of Walford nuked, especially the Queen Vic.

All so-called reality shows, full of stupid attention seeking idiots.

Anything with Cowell, Walsh etc in it.

MTV: This channel no longer plays music, only c**p reality shows. I don't care what some stupid spoiled sixteen year old gets up to on their birthday.

The Simpson's has seriously declined. No longer do I worry about missing a new episode because I know there is a good chance that I won't like it. Probably one of the worst episodes was the one entitled "That 90's Show". This is the one where Homer has a band called Sadgasm, a parody of Nirvana. Bart makes a comment during this episode that he doesn't remember the 90's despite the best episodes coming from the 90's.

Couldn't agree more. The earlier ones were better because the storylines were simpler. I think the show declined when Conan O'Brien left the show. The jokes became more lame. Now the show seems to only care about being 'out there' and zany, and having guest appearances by people like Ricky Gervais. Time to axe it before the legacy gets tarnished any more. Mind you, the last ten years or so has done irreparable damage to the reputation of the show if you ask me.

I don’t dislike it or anything but it would be funny if, in the middle of the next season, over the credits of a random episode a voiceover announced that this was the last episode. And nothing was explained or cleared up. The internet would melt down.

Anything with an X in the title
    Anything with a 1550 number
Anything with "World's" in the title

I always give a new sitcom a 4 laugh test. If the "Audience" laughs 4 times before I do then I swith off and don't watch it again.

Even though I'm a fan, I'd love to see this. Because it's clear as day the writers have been pulling plots out of their arse from day one.
