just curious what anyones view of this bit of policing at the G-20 , I added a youtube comment which seemed reasonable summary of it to me.

youtube comment - I know cops have a job to do but the girl on the bike was obeying the order to leave the area along with the rest of the bikers. There was no reason to shove her, not once, but twice because she was at the end of the "line". You can only go so fast as those in front of you. This is to me use of excessive force. I may respect the badge on a uniform but I don't have to respect the persons actions inside the uniform. And in this case no respect is deserved at all. Disgraceful show of power.

too much. The media is in the favour of the police. The protesters were moving away and the police were shoving them... on top of that it was woman.

They aggravated the situation in that instance.

The pushing was definatley too excesive, they were as you said obeying orders, in normal terms yes id see the force they used okay after she retaliated but because they were provoking her it was wrong, they were acting like a bunch of young immature teenagers. (The po-po that is) :P

To be honest guys, if you're looking for instances of excessive use of force on the youtube, you don't have to look too far.

Thread like this serve no purpose on this forum.
