    Honestly I've no idea!.

I've the same tracks on my player for maybe the last four or five years.

I know exactly what track is coming up, so I prepare my next few minutes cardio to it, ie if its really fast and punchy I'll go max HR for the duration and picture myself fighting and what techniques I'll apply for the fight.

When the track slows down I imagine my recovery period and my preparation for the next fight, I imagine my adrenaline rush & raised heart rate and how I can manage them.

Weight training, I like to hear the sound of the iron game, I love the sound of iron disc hitting iron disc. I love the sound of a DL bar hit the floor and the rattle as I lift the bar. On presses I love the bang of the DB at top dead centre, when I hit the Dip Bars I love my own grunt as I push out another rep and I love to hear my joints, muscles, heart, body get punished.

And I love to hear the other guys around me, sharing the love of The Iron Game - I'm only recently back lifting and its like making love to an ex at the moment, I'm loving it.

So when I'm lifting, I don't listen to music.

    .

depends on the exercise but for cross trainer I generally go for Underworld - Pearl's Girl around 120 bpm, pretty much anything off that album,

Kraftwerk "tour de france" for 130 bpm and whatever's on in the spin class :)

Usually any live DJ sets that I've downloaded, Judge Jules, Tiesto or Oakenfold, they're pretty much non stop and bass heavy, ideal to drown out any of the gym noise and keep going without respite for about 2 hours.

funny this happend to come up, i recently moved to a gym in the centre of Limerick and usually there might only be 2 or 3 people in it as it not that well known, they have an unreal sterio system with class bass in it, i love the dance/trance when lifting weights..totally gives me a boost so i stuck in a mixed cd and absolutely blared it out..louder than you would hear in a club!

    songs go as follows

    1.Lasgo - Something
2.Above & Beyond - No one on earth (Gabriel & Dresden remix)
    3.Accuface - Pure energy
4.Breeze Vs Lost Witness - Rise Again (Darran Styles Remix)
5.Dj Shog - This is my sound
6.Dj Shog feat ida - Be the one
7.Lasgo - Alone (Dj shog remix)
    8.Mikael Sjoberg - Purpose unknown
    9.Mauro Picotto - komodo
    10.Michael Dow - Ascent
11.Paul Van Dyk - New york city (super 8 & tab remix)
    12.System F - Out of the blue
    13.York - On the beach

seriously lads, if u want a good few songs to listen to when at the gym check these out on youtube!
