Not at all just cut another fifty in half and stick it to this...

I have the other half if you want to go for a pint ??

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,784 ✭✭✭im...LOST

    lol.

I think it is. Unless you have the full note in two parts then it's worthless. If that wasn't the case then there'd be nothing to stop 2 people using both parts to get €50 for each half.

Is that a N64 game in the backgroung lol

you need to have three quarters of the note for it to be of any use

isn't it that it has to be over half the note and it's legal tender.. you dont need both parts, just the bigger.

If it doesn't have the hologram on it, it is worthless. If it has the hologram, you can exchange it for an intact one at the Central Bank

Just pray to fuck the barman sticks the genuine end under the UV note scanner in the pub :D:D

I found half a 50 last year in the garden, it was totally wrecked and I thought it was useless.

BUT!! If the serial number is on it you can bring it into the bank and they'll give you a fresh 50!
It was definately one of the highlights of my life

Meh. Guess you don't need that 1/2 a €50 as much as I thought.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,995 ✭✭✭Sofiztikated

Yup, bring it into the bank. If you have over 51% of the note, they'll give you a nice shiney new one*.

*May not be shiney, new or even a note, but they'll give you something.

Damn you OP and you crappy quality photos, what is that SNES game in the background?

Not true, I was in a bank with somebody before and they had the larger half of a €50 and they were given a complete €50.

as far as i know once you have 2/3rds of the note and a fully intact serial number, ya can get a new one.

maybe the central bank will give ya a new one if its 51% but i know the normal offices wont

Yeah looks about right. Plus it was a launch game or close to it so it stands to reason a lot of people would have it. Well come on abouttobebanned, what's his prize?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 8,390 ✭✭✭The Big Red Button

That doesn't look like it's the bigger half though!

'The Central Bank and Financial Services Authority of Ireland redeems Euro and Irish banknotes that are damaged or mutilated (e.g. partially burnt, cut or decomposed), if the banknotes meet certain criteria defined by the European Central Bank. As a general rule, if more than half of the banknote remains it will be redeemed. Intentionally mutilated or damaged banknotes are not redeemed'

I fcukin love F-Zero. If only it had two-player. :( In other news I made a €15 note in work a while ago. The amount of ripped money I see is ridiculous, as well as rubbish fakes.

IIRC in the old days it was two serial numbers and they would give you the note
one serial and you had to wait six months in case it showed up elsewhere

CBA contacting the central bank who WILL know what the story is,
