Free drive in movie tickets.... kinda

Was not sure if I should post this, but sure what the hell.

One of the cultural events in Farmleigh in the Phoenix is the drive in movies.
Tickets are based on a lottery hence why I was not sure if I should post it:D

Films being shown are
Bullit 4.30 on the 10th October
The Blues Brother 9pm 10th October

The Commitments 4.30 11th October
Batman the dark Knight 9pm 11th October

Can you only apply for one ticket at a time. So if I want to go with my gf does she have to apply separately or will the one ticket admit two people?

I would guess you use your radio tuned to a particular frequency or is that still illegal in this country?

last year was cancelled according to olaola but I'd imagine that tuning in your radio is probably what'll happen.

It could be a bit cold having your windows open to listen to a movie if it's just big speakers!

Saw a post about this on Radiowaves forun - the sound will be broadcast on FM - 99.8 I think - and yes they will have a licence to do this (low power localised signal)

Sounds good,signed up for the Dark Knight because the ireland match is on the Saturday night,shame really woulda loved to see the Blues Brothers on it.Cheers OP.

Hey

I was at this last year saw the Snapper at the afternoon showing on the Saturday afternoon. Think the night show was cancelled cause of the rain. It's a good idea there was a few problems last year though;
you use your radio to hear it which is fine but you have to turn your engine off , so there was a lot of people with a dead batteries when the film was over.

I think that Saturday had the heaviest rain all year and it took me three hours to get home, 30mins to get there.

Suppose they can't control the weather though.
