    Hey all,

I'm looking for some inspiration on what I can do exercise wise that doesn't cost anything?!

My first thoughts are walking and running which I do a bit of anyway but I'd like to mix it up a bit - any ideas?

I don't have a bike or any weights and unfortunately I'm not in a position to buy anything at the moment but I suppose I could save up for something.

The more I think about it the sillier the question sounds but if anyone can come up with a few novel ideas it's you lot!

    Thanks in advance

    Orlee

Body weight exercises like squats, press-ups, dips, burpees, crunch, etc.

Dancing to loud rock music. Put on Satisfaction and pretend to be Mick Jagger.

Skipping (or jumping rope if you are American)

    Shadow boxing.

Martial arts: shadow sparing, kicking and punching.

Gardening. Digging your elderly neighbour's garden.

Carrying shopping. In the gym, it's called Farmer's walk, but it's really carrying heavy stuff while walking.

    Climbing lots of stairs.

Irish dancing. Bet you learned it at one time.

    Great suggestions above.

What about getting a good workout dvd? €10 and you're set.

Or cheaper still, see if your local library has any you could borrow.

Maybe I'm going overly cheesy here, but what the hell.

Those 8-Minute exercise videos are great to pass some time and my lord, i don't know if they've ever been proven to actually do much good, but they killed me!

They're on youtube, too, so free.

    Here's some el linkos:

At 8 minutes a go, small break between each video and a shower and change afterwards, it's not a bad way to pass an hour. It's probably the cheesiest video series in the world, but what do you want for free :D
