ok ill start off with im 5,5 180 pounds and im 25 and iv been working out for 8 months

basically im wondering about weighted squats and push ups and pulls ups and box jumps im using a diving belt but m not sure how heavy it is but it gets me sweating

i can do about 10 push ups and jumping squats are easy enough and fun

i was wondering what other things can i do with this diving belt or should i get something else instead of a diving belt

    basically i enjoy weighted excersizes

Not sure what a diving belt is, but weighted exercises are excellent. So are jump squats.
Anything which adds extra resistance to an exercise that is getting easy is great.

    Hi Eileen

At a guess I would say that a diving belt is a belt used by scuba divers to help keep them submerged.

O.P: If the diving belt is geting too easy, you could always by some heavy chain (DIY store, i.e. Woodies) and wrap that around you. Or a tight fitting backpack with maybe some bags of sand etc inside to add weight.

    Best Regards,

Once you've graduated from the diving belt consider investing in a large rucksack. Fill the rucksack with bricks and cans of dried pickles and wear it while you are in the gym. Only take it off when you are benching, doing crunches, etc. Make sure to leave it on you at all times walking around the gym as it will help burn calories and make your legs, back and shoulders stronger.

Also, I forgot to mention if you take some bricks out and make it a bit lighter you can go into the pool and swim with the rucksack it will push you even harder.

Sorry Davey, in the pool the cans of dried pickles would be buoyant. Swimming would be easier.
So vice versa. Leave the bricks and diving belt in the ruck sack. Take the canned vegetables / fruit Out.

i dont actually go to the gym

    i use home made stuff
like i do pull ups and so on with a scaffold and i made barbells from a bar and cement in a flower pots

i have 3 different types of barbells light medium and heavy and i use a plank and 2 tressels for the barbells and jumping squats

its basically all home made equipment

eileen thank you for saying that i wasnt sure if i was going the right way with it but now im sure.

i had a fitness instructer living with us for nearly a year and before she left her idea was to fill sand up in a rucksack and add it to some of the weights

im gonna look around tommorow and see what i can do with the rucksack and the sand and so on

    thanks

    i must add

i love the feeling you get from a really good sweaty work out
im so happy after a work out

I saw a fitness gadget that was basically a duffel bag stuffed with sand and used as a weight. Looked like you could get a good workout from it.

Don't be put all by this being a female website. Apart from the pregnancy stuff, just about everything applies to guys too.
