Deal Paddy power has on since last season

Pick any 3 players to score in the prem league in a weekends fixture's and get odd's of 12-1

    Last weeks picks

    Drogba
    Rooney
    Torres

Thinking of going for the same again this week

It seems like a very good value bet.

If you look at it that with 38 games in a season you only have to get the bet up 3 times to basically break even. 4 times or more in a season and your in profit.

You would think those 3 would all score on a fair few weekends.

I'd like to know how many weeks it would have clicked last year

I would have said bent ...but he's playing already(and scored)

Torres was the only one really that was on form last year, Drogba and Rooney were living in Anekla and Ronnies shadows.

Seems to be a complete reverse this season, Torres has been a no show.

Cheers for the heads up OP ;)

i did this bet in ladbrokes at 11/1

didnt know powers copied them and went 12/1s- hell of a price

got it up twice with ladbrokes or so i think i have

on saturday i backed eduardo-agholgar(spelt wrong-you know the lad-villa man) and torres

now eduardo got credited with goal even though if deflected off eboue

bbc sport/sky sports/ premier league.com all credit eduardo with the goal
i checked ladbrokes.com and they say eduardo too but powers results say eboue so lucky for me i didnt do it there i reckon

mate of mine told me on saturday about powers 12/1- havent seen him since or collected my own money but will be interesting to see what happens

according to websites- ladbrokes will pay me while powers will tell him hes on a loser

This weeks matches. My suggestions for high potential scorers are in bold. These are based on form and the potential result:

    Portsmouth v Everton
    Birmingham v Bolton
    Blackburn v Aston Villa
Liverpool v Hull City Gerrard Torres
    Stoke City v Man UtdRooney
    Tottenham v Burnley Defoe Crouch
    Wigan v ChelseaLampard
Fulham v Arsenal Murphy Fab Van persie
    Sunderland v Wolves Bent
Man City v West Ham Barry Tevez

go one then ill share ;)

    saha
    torres
    Rooney

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,861 ✭✭✭glanman

Since it is fixed odds I think I might go with:

    Bent
    Torres and
    Rooney

I think Pompey are due a win. They arent playing badly and have been unlucky. These sort of streaks have to end so maybe keep that in mind before backing Saha.

As an aside, is 12/1 the minimum odds so in the event that those you choose add up to over 12/1 you get the better odds?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,316 ✭✭✭Reginald P. DuM

12/1 is the minimum, but if you choose long odds scorers (defenders) the price will improve. Also you are not limited to picking 3 players, you can choose more and the price will increase to reflect this.

I'd be narrowing it down to 3 out of Defoe, Torres, Bent, Tevez myself

You'd have to fancy both Spurs and Liverpool to get a good few goals at home in their games. Bent is flying for Sunderland, have to wait to see the ManCity team.

The Chelsea Arsenal games might be tight / low scoring.

I was in Paddy's today and they have the same bet now for the carling cup matches aswell, any 3 scorers 12/1

I was a bit late in finding out about this so I couldn't do last nights matches

So for tonight I went for

    Preston v Tottenham CROUCH
    Hull v Everton SAHA
    Yanited v Wolves WELBECK

I presume you'll get the double, seeing as Saha didnt play.

Any money invested in Saha is a waste if you ask me!!

I'd be surprised if Paddy paid out on the double for tonights games.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,632 ✭✭✭✭okidoki987

    seeing as Saha didnt play.

I'd be interested in hearing how you get on with a non runner.
12/1 is the minimum, but if you choose long odds scorers (defenders) the price will improve

The one time I read the coupon, I thought it was only 12/1 on 3 players as named on that sheet.?

There is a space at the end of the docket to write in any player not listed above. The usual suspects are listed, outsiders need to be hand written.

Emailed them there and got a a reply saying that the bet will be paid out as a double

Was praying that moyes wouldn't bring saha on for the last 5 mins or something like it :p

Saha wasnt even on the bench so you were safe.

These bets are sometimes dependent on the player starting anyway, is this the case with this offer?

As long as he isnt brought on before the first goal is scored then its a non-runner no bet.

This is the only the case for the first goal scorer market not anytime scorer AFAIK

I like the look of those 4 Im gona do

    4 x €10 trebles

If 3 score €130 back but a possible €520 if all 4 score

Can you pick 2 players from the 1 team? Fancy Torres, Gerarrd & Defoe this weekend for this but only if Gerarrd is accepted.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,316 ✭✭✭Reginald P. DuM

Don't matter who your picks play for the bet will be taken. This week I'm going for Torres, Bent, Defoe.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,632 ✭✭✭✭okidoki987

Can you pick 2 players from the 1 team?

Yes but remember if may be harder for the treble to come good as you are using 2 players from the same team.
Even if Liverpool are playing a c**p team, they will need to score at least
2 (or more) goals for those 2 parts of your bet to come up.
The odds on a team scoring 2 or more would be slightly higher then 1 or more
    goal.
I'm not saying it;s not a good bet just have a look at previous matches and see how you would have got on by picking 2 players from the same team.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,252 ✭✭✭The Al Lad

    This weeks picks

    1)
    Drogba
    Torres
    Defoe

    2)
    Arshavin
    Rooney
    Bent

You can always add more picks in, if your feeling lucky/greedy

So say add rooney into selection 1) and you'll get the quadruple odds

Team selections can usually be found least hour before KO. I doubt you'll have to worry on your chosen picks tomorrow baz. Those 3 will play.
Rafa is rotating a lot less than before, Drogba is fit after been taken off on Sunday, and Defoe is flying at the moment.

is this available online?? and is 12-1 available on any premiership wked or fixture list??

No only in shops at the minute, you CAN do a three scorer treble online but you WON'T get 12/1 odds on it

    Example: If I did

    Torres 8/15
    Drogba 10/11
    and Defoe 5/6

any time scorer's online, It would only work out as odds of 5/1

And yes this is available every premiership weekend, if there is a full midweek prem list then they might put the sheets out then too, like this week they actually had a carling cup sheet out which was cool

a double is paid out, not sure what price, but on a carling cup double midweek they paid out 5's on 2 out the three when saha didnt play. your a brave man to punt on berbatov!!

Torres on every docket I'd say. That Defoe missed a glorious chance. But a penalty and heavy deflection for Spurs means they aint done yet. I hope.

    Had 3 today:

    Torres, Drogba and Bent €10
    Torres Rooney and Anelka €10

Also had 16/1 special on skybet for Gabby ag, Saha and Bent €5

So gonna lay bent on betfair for roughly €100 profit either way!

I assume short enough so prob the best move rather than being greedy. I'd still expect him to score tomorrow though.

Just layed him to win €70 at a liability of €90ish. He is about 5/4 on betfair to score anytime. I think he will score too tomorrow so heres hoping he does.
