Since most here are Irish i thought we might chat about what server would be a wise choice for the Irish, as we know pre-select is tomorrow @ 8pm (GMT)
English speaking ofcourse i hear you say.

Ive read some rumours a lot of russians plan on hitting spatalos but who knows? It was only a forum post afterall.
Ofcourse nothing is certain but its worth chatting about.

News post today on the aion site directing eng speakers to Gorgos so I put a char on each.
Personally Id perfer to play on Gorgos as the Polish eng speakers are being directed there too.

Interestingly enough I was able to make an elyo on spat and an asmo on gorgos, thought I read somewhere you had to pick one or the other. Maybe just server by server

Well I won't be playing on Gorgos as Role Players are being directed there also and I wouldn't be able to deal with that type of people.
Greeks most of the time refuse to speak English so that's Spatalos ruined as well.
Reckon I'll stick with Perento as Norwegens are generally a very cool bunch of people to play alongside.

Actually I quite like the roleplay aspect for Gorgos, gives you a whole new aspect for your game.

Asmo might be the most popular with early access players.

Instead of playing the opposite side on the same server, it might have been an idea to play the opposite side on another server so people can create a character on both sides and play with boardsies.

Originally we were going Asmo on Parento, but we changed it once the server listings came out. Now we're all spread across a few servers/sides from the looks of things.

I'm much more casual a player than I used to be, I don't think I really have time to play more than one char for the forseeable future.

I like to avoid the kiddies that tend to flock to the shiney factions.
Im sure Asmo will have its fair share too but it always seems more so on shiney factions in MMOs in my experience.

I think that's true in America. I think kids flock to whatever seems "cool."

In the states that's the shiney, "good side."

Over here it's the badass, "cool lookin" side. Asmo will be filled with wannabe, 'i'm such a badass,' pwnsters.

I was just suggesting offering people the option, instead of picking the opposite side on the same server which forces people to choose one set of boardsies or the other.

I tried to make a char on another server just for somethign to do but all are full with similar queues.

Much better to have a queue rather than have a few hundred people attempting to get for example the same basket of fruit.
Its annoying, but perfectly understandable. At least when standard editions start to join we'll be all out of the starting zones.

Well I can't get on any server at the moment as my game has somehow switched to some jibby jobby Asian language and I can't figure out a way to change it to English. It just changed after it updated itself.
That and it's also popping up virus alerts, I know they're false positives but ffs, they got rid of gameguard and now I'm getting virus alerts from the aion.bin file - with all the worry about keyloggers and viruses, especially from Asia, you'd think they'd have some cop on. Not impressed at all.
By the time I get in the game all the servers will be full.

By the way, switched to Telemachus, everyone speaks english and seems to be a pretty helpful community buzz going. No more insane queues either!

I have taken to using logmein to kick off my queuing from work, logged into home at 3pm, started Q'ing, eta 7pm............

The problem is that people are doing the private stores because of the queues. Its making it worse, but they wouldnt be doing it if there were no queues. I've done it myself a few times, as i refuse to queue for more then 2 hours twice/three times a day.

Thanks, none of the quick fixes were any help so I guess it's a complete uninstall and reinstall for me. :mad::mad::mad:

I would've cancelled the game but for the fact I'd paid 6 months up-front via paypal as I honestly thought the game had some hope. Really not impressed at all with this and the lack of support or even a quick patch to fix this stupid problem of having to play in bloody Korean, but no...

I'd also prefer to play on the US servers at this rate as at least I'd be guaranteed people would speak English but my serial seems to be tied to Europe
As it stands now, I really don't know what European server I'll end up on when I do eventually get to play as most of them sound like they're full and all sorts of nationalities are chopping and changing servers. It'll be gamebreaking for me if I have to end up playing on servers with barely any English speakers. I want to play on English speaking servers with English speaking people, however UN-Pc that might sound.
