Anybody a member of Raw Condition?

I was going to join JS on Clarendon St, but have read a lot of horror stories on here. Raw Condition is near-ish to me, but I hoped I could get some questions answered before heading in.

    • Is it primarily a weights gym, or does it have plenty of cardio machines?
    • Are the cardio machines usually all taken?
    • Are the classes any good?
    • Do the spin classes fill up or do they get cancelled because there's no interest? (I love spin classes and would take ~3 a week)
    • Is the area dodgy or would a girl be ok to walk down there around 7am/ late at night?

    Cheers folks :)

There is plenty of cardio equipment: treadmills, elliptical trainers, rowers, steppers, spinning bikes. It is usually possible to get one of these at any time. The use of weights can be highly beneficial and if I were you I would not concentrate solely on cardio, though that is not to say that cardiovascular fitness is not important.

The area is fine, there are quite a few female members and I can but presume that they have no problems.

I've never partaken of any of the classes so can't testify as to their quality.

I went to the spin the last couple of weeks and it was full one day, 3 people another and 5 another so get there ontime and should be fine.

Area is fine too. Wouldn't worry about that. Always plenty of people about. Always at least one of each cardio machine free too especially later in the evening.
