    Pro Wrestler Arrested for Steroids

Professional wrestler Jeff Hardy is in the Moore County jail Friday after being arrested on charges of trafficking in controlled prescription pills and possession of anabolic steriods.

Hardy, 32, of 265 Boys Camp Road, Cameron, was arrested after a search of his residence yielded 262 Vicodin prescription pills, 180 Soma prescription pills, 555 milliliters of anabolic steroids, a residual amount of powder cocaine and items of drug paraphernalia, according to a press release.

A joint investigation conducted by officers with the Moore County Sheriff's Office narcotics and select enforcement units and the Fayetteville Police Department led to the arrest.

Vicodin and anabolic steriods are Schedule III substances, while Soma is a non-controlled prescription pill.

Hardy and his brother, Matt, wrestling as the Hardy Boyz, were six-time World Wrestling Entertainment World Tag Team Champion. Individually, Jeff Hardy held the WWE World Champion belt one time and the World Heavyweight Championship twice.

Hardy was charged with felony trafficking in opium, two counts of felony possession with intent to sell or deliver a Schedule III controlled substance, felony maintaining a dwelling to keep controlled substance, felony possession of cocaine and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.

His bail was set at $125,000.

Punk is right, Straight Edge is the best path to walk.......

But seriously, if this is true I can only ask, why do successful people get involved with these stupid things?

Can't say I'm surprised about this. Pity this couldn't have happened a week or two ago, would have been awesome material for Jeff's exit and some of Punk's promos.

Oh you can be damn sure Vince will instruct Punk to use this if true.

All the little hardy fans crying in the audience will be priceless!

Doubtful, Jeff is not far removed enough from the WWE for this not to have a negative impact on them

their story is sourced from what Edk posted in the OP.

it can pay to be sceptical of such stories (not that it might not still be proved true) not that Twitter is foolproof either but that is his official twitter iirc while ive never seen thepilot.com before

JEFFHARDYBRAND The media is the media, I wish they would at least report the story correctly & accurately. I will make a statement later.

he will be lucky if vince looks in his direction again. ****in idiot.

Yeah considering WWE's past image problems with drugs they're not going to want to go near him for a long time.

Arra, could've been a lot worse in fairness, at least he's currently not contracted to WWE, which saves them a massive deal of embarrassment. "Former WWE employee arrsted for possession" doesn't quite have the ring to it that "Current WWE champion arrested" has in fairness. It'll all blow over and he'll still be back in a year's time as planned.

    Or a bad year...that story's from February

So, was Jeff taking this stuff while with WWE or only after he left? I'd have said that maybe it's just after he left, but he'd have less use for the steroids outside of WWE

Might this indicate that Jeff is one of those above the Wellness policy?

I would have my suspicions that it was during his WWE tenure. Its just too damn coincidental that he would be caught with that amount of crap just a couple of weeks after he left.

I read a report on some website earlier (can't remember where, if it's true then I'm sure that F4WOnline.com will have it in their daily update in a while) that the police spoke a little more about the case, saying that they acted based on a tip that they were given

It seems that all the newz sites have that on them, it was written in a local newspaper originally I believe. (Not Punk giving the tip, just that there was a tip)

I'm sure that there'll be conspiracy theorists saying that it was WWE, but I don't think that they'd want to draw more attention to their Wellness Policy being shoddy

They have been close for years so of course he would want to help Jeff, thats what real friends do! I doubt many wrestlers will judge Jeff to harshly, lets be honest he is not the first wrestler ever to dabble in the drugs.

For me the real story about this is that they found residual amounts of coke on him and Jeff is clearly one of the most at risk people in terms of addiction in the company so where the **** is Wellness

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 18,671 Mod ✭✭✭✭DM_7

Its all speculation at this point. As far as the steroids and pain killers go he may have had a prescription for them being in his blood (If they were while he was with wwe), wwe don't check if you have a stock of drugs or not.

What we can say is Jeff Screwed Jeff, not the WWEs wellness Policy

    Bubs101 wrote: »

    The cociane was found yesterday.

Do you know when the cocaine found was used? If not I don't feel its fair to have a go at WWE wellness policy for not finding cocaine use.
