I've been playing the first one for the last few nights, 'tis good stuff. The voice acting and gameplay are great, lots of fun. I particularly like Simon Templeton, who used to be Kain in the Legacy of Kain series. Fun fact: the director of the Uncharted games, Amy Hennig, also directed and wrote the LoK games.

Anyone else excited about the sequel?

definetely i am and who actaully doesn't ive been checking the gameplay almost everyday lol UNCHARTED is a must have game for PS3 gamers...

Lucky you, i'm really looking forward to this game myself, a must buy if your a PS3 imo. Its been a solid month without a PS3 since mine gave up the ghost. I'm starting to suffer from withdrawl!!

This is another definite must have for me, the first is one of the best reasons to own a PS3 (one of the few imo)

It is for me anyway. Shame, really want to play it.

The first one was a decent play but i wouldn't go anywhere near saying it's a reason to get a PS3. I think the voice acting and general cut scenes were what made it above average.

But i think it goes without saying the second WILL BE a must have and a console seller from what was released at E3.

Similar enough situation to Resistance 1, although i wouldn't even bother playing that(as opposed to Uncharted 1, which was a very good game, but both are going big time in their second installments )

The 1st uncharted was good but a bit easy and short. i had it finished in a few days and never played it again. I cant wait for the new game though! multiplayer should be epic

as far as i'm aware there is no offline multiplayer:( and i think its out in europe on the 23 oct

There is 3 player coop as well as the multiplayer.

Offline multi' is kack anyway, two of ye running around a big map alone and been able to see where the other person is ... so 1990's :pac:

After attempting the first game in Crushing Mode I can safely assume that I won't be finishing Uncharted 2 on Crushing difficulty.

Those trophies look almost identical to the first game and with only a couple of MP trophies I like the look of them.

The freezing problem on 1 is pissing me off too. On my second playthrough on Chapter 13 and want to have a crack at crushing before moving on. No word yet on a fix even though Sony said they are aware of it.

It's not that hard, it's trial and error.
Some areas can be bypassed without fighting the enemies.

Keep right in the level (roll to avoid sniper) before you get to Sully in the library(Chapter 13 - Library Exterior). Also the part where you need to activate two switches to unlock a door, the cursed spaniards don't have to be killed in order to proceed(Chapter 19 - Unwelcome Guests).

Is thats all you need for the platinum? If so, persevere.

HUH whats all this about?? i got a 80gb ps3 the other day, and i am 20% through the game, will it stop working at some point??

The recent firmware update has caused many peoples Uncharted games to freeze. It seems to be an issue with the autosave feature and Sony have said they are looking into the problem.

I dont think its everyone but its affecting enough people to have Sony looking at it. Taking their time with a fix though.

I haven't been affected at all, I've only played Uncharted since the update. I'm sure it'll happen though, most issues like this are universal!

I got a couple of hours gameplay after the initial freeze point but now it wont load when I select Continue and when I select a chapter it freezes when I get to that save point.

Infuriating.

man this sucks, i'm about to go home now and give it a go. I was really enjoying it last night so fingers crossed its ok... If not, I also bought killzone 2 with the playstation, so I am sure that will keep me occupied

Still, can't wait for this game. My only problems with the last game were the spawning bad guys that dragged the combat out too much and the cover system failing every so often. I'm sure they have fixed these and really don't want to think about how good this game could be.

A lot of review will be giving it 100% to stand apart form those they can give 99% and get grief or loads of questions about that 1% or make a joke and give it 105% to separate them from the rest

Then there will be a few sites that give it a really low score just to get hits to their site.

Hope the enemies aren't bullet sponges like the first one, seriously takes nearly a whole clip to take someone down.

Headshots are one-hit kills, which is the exact same in Uncharted 2 - well at least the beta anyway.

Only had a quick go of the Beta but it played very well in my opinion too.

I didn't love the original as much as many here did.

It was great at the start and the end but the middle was a little boring.

Combat was a little repetitive and jumping, the Tomb Raider bits etc were a little bit tacked on - I mean there was never any skill in making a jump.

Am looking forward to this one. I haven't bought a PS3 game on release since GTA IV. I'm going to pre-order from Amazon so hopefully should have it waiting for me when I get home on release day
