Ah kids TV, I don't have a great memory of all the shows. As a kid I started off on the den, then moved to TCC, and TCC became sooooo terrible that Cablelink(!) one day switched to Nickelodeon. That switch actually improved my life a little bit!

    Pete and Pete

    Cadillacs and Dinosaurs

    Degrassi Junior High

What was the cartoon where a kid is basically leading an underground resistance movement and his has a crew of robots helping him. Each of the robots had it's own type of weapon, there was one robot dude who had a tennis racket for an arm and he'd wack grenades at people?

I'm amazed by the lack of Power Rangers appreciation here. I was completely obsessed with them for a couple of years. I remember going to school one day when I was about 5 and there had been a robbery in the school so I thought I would try and morph into a Power Ranger and catch the thief. Sadly it didn't work.

They've completely ruined it now though with all the different versions. The originals were the best.

The pink Ranger was fairly class looking

    Mutant Turtles
    Tranformers
    Bosco

Thats all I can of now!

When I was a child I used to love:

    Bosco
    Care Bears
    Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles
The Den but only with Ray and Zig and Zag
    Babar
    Tom & Jerry

When I was in my early(ish) teens it was:

    California Dreams
    Sweet Valley High
    Saved By The Bell
    Heartbreak High
    Animaniacs
    Sabrina the Teenage Witch
    The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air
    Home and Away

If I was off school or on holidays or whatever I used to be fascinated with shows like Dallas and shows that were supposedly "too grown up" for me when I was younger.

    Ah, them were the days!

used to like the australian shows aswell esp "round the twist" and "the girl from tomorrow".

I was obsessed with The Real Ghostbusters and Power Rangers (Tommy FTFW). I also remember watching lots of older stuff like Happy Days and Roots as a young child, they were re-run on RTE iirc. I'd run around screaming "what's you name boy? TOBY!" It was actually one of the reason I started watching Star Trek for Geordi :D

Anybody remember a cartoon about sheep and pigs at war? I cant remember if I just imagined it up or not. It would have been on TCC back in the day... it feels like it was a real show but no one I know can remember it :/

I remember a show I used to watch as a kid about a dog. I think it was called wishbone.

The song at the start would go "Whats the story wishbone....." or something like that.

    Great show :D

Saved by the bell was my favourite though.

Tucker was a great show as well on nickelodeon but I think their was only 1 season made.

Does anyone remember Galaxy High & Jayce and the wheeled warriors/

I remember jayce found his dad, 'twas really touching, then his dad got eaten up be a vine - and lost again :(

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,639 ✭✭✭Miss Lockhart

I absolutely HATED Jayce and the Wheel Warriors and also some programme called Ulysees? I think.

When I was very young I loved:

Bosco (remember crying when school started finishing too late to see it)
    Mrs Pepperpot
    Bouli
Labyrinth? (think this is what it was called anyway - was on TCC - was banned then cos it gave my brother nightmares )
    Punky Brewster
    Small Wonder
    Various series with T-bag
    The Clangers
    DJ Kat
    Trapdoor

When I was a little older I loved:
    Knightmare
    The Littlest Hobo
    Round the Twist
    Pugwall
    The Wonder Years
    Animaniacs
    The Crystal Maze
    Unsolved Mysteries

I also watched Sabrina the Teenage Witch in my later teens and will admit to still watching it regularly enough if I come across it. :pac:

Edited to add: I also remember going around with a white plastic hairband across my forehead with a blue marker dot drawn on it pretending to be The Girl from Tomorrow.
