What the hell just fell out of the sky??

I hope somebody else saw this, about a half an hour ago I was driving up the Blessington Road and in the sky a good bit off something was falling out the sky - it looked like white bags, it was crazy!! Anyone know what the hell it was??

remnants of Chinese Lanterns.. these were lit and set into the sky tonight at 9.09 pm on the 9.09.09 .. a lucky day in the chinese calendar..what you saw falling to the earth was the remains of these..(your original post checks out with the time as well)
