What age did you have your first girlfriend/boyfriend?

    Just interested.

I know a good few people my age that have been in relationships for over a year, gone the whole hog and can easily see them staying together in the future. I, on the other hand, am still a lonely virgin free agent.

Wondered what age people on here had their first real (not 5 year olds, "Catherine's my girlfriend" thing, a proper relationship) boyfriend or girlfriend?

I was 15, but we didn`t pop our cherries `till we were both 17. We just held hands and shared fizzy pops till then.

13, for a couple of weeks, not sure if that counts (she was bat**** insane).
Then 14, lasted for just over a year, then another long while (most part of a year) of continuing to mess around (only slighly insane, in a non-literal way, but willing to blow me, so it definitely counts).

And don't worry, I'm just as much a virginfree agent as you are and will probably stay like that for quite some time.

    I was about 16 1/2. :)

Waited close on 3 years before she was ready to get giggy after that...3 very long years, but it was worth the wait and we had lots of fun inbetween. ;)

    I was 9.

You laugh, but we were together for the guts of three years. The first gift I bought him was a Boyz II Men tape -- Cooleyhighharmony.

Then he turned 12 and started being a jerk.

    So it goes.

Taking a break from my courting of phasers for a moment.
Don't be in a hurry to get a girl friend is my advice. Sure it's great and gives your life some extra meaning but at the end of the day there's just too much pussi out there for a lad your age to be restricted to one. Get out there and enjoy yourself. You'll meet the right girl when you do.

Pighead was probably about 12 when he had his first girlfriend. She was from the Cayman Islands and she had silky black hair down to the small of her back. Lovely looking girl but she had a good few annoying traits including greed, smelly feet and the fact that she was imaginary.

Had first real life girlfriend about two years later. She was lovely but the fact that she came from Ardee rather than the Cayman Islands put Pighead right off her. The fact she was from Ardee meant that Pighead would have had to spend some time in Ardee if he wanted to continue seeing the girl. Was never ever going to happen.

many have stayed in ardee for having imaginary friends.

I had some shortlived relationships during my teen years but my first REAL one wasn't until I was 19 and lasted nearly 2 years. Before that I just slutted around :o

A nanosecond is a long time to spend in Ardee. Going there reminds Pighead of the film "The Champ". They both make him cry uncontrollably.

OK. I've had quite a few short-term romances before and in between all of these, but these were the three major relationships I've been involved in.

The first serious one was when I was fifteen, he was seventeen. It lasted about six months, I broke up with him because he was taking it way too seriously considering our ages. At the time he was bawling crying, but he was with someone else about three weeks later and they're engaged now. Tbh I reckon he was the kind of guy who was just in love with the idea of being in love rather than anything else. Every time I think about him I'm just really, really glad that I didn't (to be coy) go the whole way with him, because looking back he put me under quite a bit of pressure to do so, and I would have so regretted it.

The next guy I went out seriously with, we were both eighteen. It lasted about a year, we had some great times together. It got a bit messy towards the end but it's fun to look back on! Again I ended it because he was a lot more serious about the relationship than I was.

I'm now with my fiance for four and a half years - we got engaged about a year ago. I started going out with him not long after I broke up with the previous fella, but for once I didn't miss the single life (as I did in any previous relationships) - I've never once missed being single since we got together. I have absolutely no doubts about our relationship. I'm not being naive - no one can tell the future - but I honestly think that the two of us will always be very happy together.

Tom, you're still sixteen! Go and let loose in the Junior Cert forum ;)
You shouldn't have said that, chewy cheeks.

I was just being honest. In all honesty, I've never had a real boyfriend.
My lovelife is a complete disaster!
I agreed to go out with someone when I was 12, to stop him calling me every twenty minutes, EVERY SINGLE DAY, asking me to be with him.
Then, I ignored him for months and got my sister to break up with him for me.
I'll blame that experience for my bad luck ;)

I had a boyfriend for a few weeks when I was 12, he was my first kiss :o

My first proper relationship started when I was 13 and he was 16 (freaks him out now to think he was with someone so young), was with him until I was 18, but the last 2 years were long distance because he was living it up being a successful musician off touring the world and stuff while I was still in school, then he slept with (read: had dirty dirty sex with) my best friend and that was that!
