Looking to buy a sat nav for my partners birthday.

    Have been looking at
Tom Tom One V3 European 129Eur

    Garmin NUV250 139Eur

What is the differance between these two. Also he would like european mapping.

    Any advise?

    My 2c...

I think the Garmin 250 will also have European maps, and if I was you, I'd go for either the TomTom One XL, or the Garmin Nuvi 250W, which are the widescreen versions.

Which one is better? That's a very selective question, and completely down to personal preference. I have a Garmin Nuvi 250W, and a TomTom Go 720. The TomTom was an expensive purchase, but has added bluethooth for the phone, FM transmitter and voice control (all gimmicks tbh). The Garmin was a lot cheaper to buy, but as a sat nav is great!

Whichever one you choose, they'll both do the job.
