    Hiya Ladies!

Just wondering If I could get a gals perspective here. I've tried google but I keep getting adds for female viagra :P

    Anyway
I'm in a long term realtionship with my OH we are pretty young, 19 and 21 and until now have had an amazing sex life however...
Lately I just have no desire for sexual activity at all, I'm having trouble becoming aroused and am feeling bloated and lethargic. I'm having trouble getting into the moment so to speak and end up getting angry at myself!
It shouldn't be my diet as I eat pretty healthy(veggie) but have been very tired lately.
ANy one any tips for what is causing this, its really starting to frustrate me.
Could it be my Birth Control Pill (Yasmin) I was on Dianette but It disagreeed ith my migranes so i recently changed to Yasmin .Should I change and see what happens

I could be way off the mark but you mention your a veggie.
Fatigue, bloated, lethargic? Have you been tested for anemia?

It is worth getting routine blood done in the Gp's to check your Iron, B12 and folate.
To try and get to the bottom of your lethargy.

If this has only happened to you since changing birth control pills I would definitely say it's a worth a visit to your GP and a mention to him / her. I changed from one pill to another a while ago and felt really bloated and generally just down and it was because my new Pill didn't suit me. This could be what's wrong in your case too.

Best of luck sorting it out, OP. :)

OP - it might not be a bad idea to discuss this with your GP. In fact I would strongly recommend it. Loss of libido/sex drive can be a symptom of other things going on. Worth getting checked out.

can I just make three suggestions as I have been here in a past relationship.

Yes it defo can be your pill, some girls have lots of problems with the pill, my suggestion, get off the pill for 6 or so weeks and you'll notice straight away if its that

secondly, if your a veggie and your having iron issues that could defo screw with your interest

finally, dont dismiss this when I say it to you, but something that can get you back into gear could be exercise. try exercising for a few weeks and see if theres any change.

Please note I am a guy, but had this issue in a relationship which was a serious burden. I researched the issue at length and eventually found the pill was to blame, 100 %.

The exercise idea is because at a totally different time of a relationship it was observed that after regular exercise there was "more of an interest"

hope this helps, but you've nothing to lose by going off the pill for a few weeks

I'd give the doc a visit hun .
I'm also vegetarian , haven't suffered anemia, but wild horses couldn't hold me back generally. :p
Stress is the only thing that seems to affect me really.
Have a chat, it'll put your mind at ease.

I'd stop taking the pill for a while and then you'd know if it was that... I have implanon the contraceptive implant and I noticed a huge change too from before I got it to now. It is a good idea to go to a GP just to make sure there isnt anything else though...

    glad to hear it :)

I was getting depo injections and they turned me into a fat angry mess  it was only when I came off it (after 3 years :() that I realised just how bad it was.

There are so many options to choose from theres no need for you to be stuck with an unsuitable one. Good luck at the doc! :)

Best idea to talk to your doc, but il gonna close this thread, as its not a medical forum and i don't want the wrong advice given out or someone giving you an online diagnosis! Feel free to start another thread when you have been to the docs if you want to discuss anything more. Best of luck
