Ooh Doyles is a great spot!

The Porterhouse is good too but I think they're technically over 21s.

S'longs it's not on the same night as the Freshers Ball. Or some big mad party.

    Just about managed it.. :pac:

Monday through Thursday of Fresher's week, though I guess I could manage the same days the following week, I'll just be more asleep during lectures!

One of the nights of Freshers week. Probably would've suggested daytime meself, but I'm sure I could find somewhere to stay.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,231 ✭✭✭Fad

If I'm going (I dunno if I'm quite weird enough tbh) I'll go whenever really.

I'm definitely not weird enough, but I'll try my hardest!

Nah, that's not it.........I'm not in TCD

Fad: your not being in Trinity is entirely irrelevant to your coming to this beers. And you *will* be going.

Acid_violet: Think we're too strange for you? :D

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,979 ✭✭✭Jammyc

Ill go simply for the laugh. Never been out in town before so freshers week is the perfect opportunity, specially with some people Ive never met off the internet....oh god.:pac:

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,375 ✭✭✭fonpokno

Well in fairness, we'll all be people you could've met randomly in Trinity so it's not completely weird!

Boards beers are great anyway. Best nights out I ever have!

Do! The beers I've been to have been a laugh anyway.. and it took some talking around to even get me to go to one in the first place! :D Don't worry, we don't bite!

Exactly what she says! Have made some lovely friends from the beers, some of whom I even talk to outside of beers, and, shock horror.. in person! :pac:

Given the pav is out of action i'm assuming it'll be in Doyles, right? Please say it's in Doyles, Doyles is awesome.

    +1

<3 Doyles, and it *is* ridiculously convenient. Also, reasonably big and vaguely decent music means I can dance (or whatever it is I attempt to do)..

I thought this was a joke but it's actual going to happen..:pac::pac::pac::pac::pac:

    Epic!

Ah no, not somewhere where dancing will be expected. :(

God no, not expected. Sure I can't even dance! However, Doyles is one of the very few places I have actually enjoyed dancing because everyone's as crap as I am! :pac:

Therefore, dancing is a possibility if people wish to dance, however it is not a must by any means. :)

Good stuff, I just hate going out and making everyone else look crap with my mad moves. :P
But not really, I don't dace. :pac:
Hope some of you smoke so I'm not on me own all night. :P

  • Banned (with Prison Access) Posts: 1,211 ✭✭✭celtic723

There's not many people out there that are actual good dancers :pac::pac:

After a few pints and what not everyone looks good.:D

Haha, touché! :P Ah I only dance in fits and starts so I'll not desert everyone!

I don't smoke but generally spend half the night outside because air is always required. But I'm sure you'll find plenty of smokers anyway!

Not to me - I don't drink, so you'll all look godawful! :P

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,375 ✭✭✭fonpokno

Sure we can steal all the couches upstairs in doyles and nobody ever has to dance! I do love the music in there though. Someone will have to have a bit of a wild flail with me later on in the night. :)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VbGV2_8Yqg4 You just reminded me of 1.29 into that song. :pac:

Lookin forward to this now. We'll need a specific meeting place for out-of-towners like meself to find easily. :P

    Beyonce? How dare you! :P

Front Arch of the college would probably be the easiest and closest place for anyone who's unsure of where Doyles is. :)

fonpokno: I'll have a flail around with you anyway dear! :D

Pfft. Says you. I, for one, bring EPIC levels of deadly to the dance floor in Doyles on semi-regular occasions.*

I'll be there if the final date is a Tuesday or Thursday - fingers crossed, boards beers are normally pretty deadly.

*This may be utter lies, I'm usually pretty drunk if I'm hitting Doyles...

Yes, in theory.. However, I being sober am clearly the only person who can judge on the crapness of everyone's dancing.. And epic you say? You'll have to prove it so!

Bribery goes a long way if you want to rig the poll.. >_> Sadly, I've already voted.

Ah yeah sure count me in. I'd personally prefer any night NOT in Fresher's week, I've a feeling that will be a week best left undisturbed as regards social diary.

I'll try and drag VladGlenin along as well, although he mighn't be so ... forthcoming.

You do when me and Tricity Benedix are around. Hee.

F*cking noob! Registration requires you to stand in a queue, say your name, tell them you're Catholic and sign your name. You do not need to stay in the night beforehand. Get with the programme!

I've done Doyles from bushes in College in 30 seconds flat.

PS I'm too old to go :)

Why are you too old to go??

    The Economist, B.A. (Mod.) 2008.

(Aka I did my degree, then I got a masters elsewhere, now I work elsewhere too. Will always have an affinity with the place and will post here from time to time as that annoying alumnus who still hasnt' fully left, but I won't be attending the Beers :). (Unless of course my two boys are going; then I'll go to see them.))

It was you and Europerson, actually. Clearly that night isn't burned into your memory quite as searingly as it is into mine. "Whooooooaaa-ooh-ooooooooh! THIS RAPE IS ON FIRE!" *shudder*
(Unless of course my two boys are going; then I'll go to see them.))

I'd imagine they'd say the same thing, which must lead to some kind of weird loop where none of you are going unless one of you is going in which case all of you are going...I think? Maybe this is why I did so poorly in Game Theory...

I'd also consider going if we can get some of the older crew involved.

And Fridays are well better as choices, as otherwise I'll be in Galway.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,361 ✭✭✭bythewoods

    Ah, I'll go.

Any day bar Friday nights (As I'd like to have the option to go back home to the shticks on the weekends).

Also, Fad, you should definitely come! Just don't wear your UCD scarf... :pac:
