Internet is fast on Windows, slow on Mac with D-Link 524 Router

Got Digiweb Metro yesterday and have a D-Link 524 Wireless Router to go with it. I'm not the most knowlegable when it comes to this so bare with me.
Basically, the internet is working 100% with my friends windows machine but it takes maybe one minute for a single page to load or it might fail to load at all on my Mac.
All I've done in the router admin is changed the security to WPA but everything else is at it's default.
Does anyone know if I have to change something else to allow multiple computers to connect or something?
Really, any help is appreciated here, however frivilious. Thanks.
