Does anyone know if there is anything I can do to prevent getting big veins in my arms? I was working through my program this evening doing bicep curls when I spotted the beginnings of a vein appearing on my left arm above my elbow...

    Is it permanant?
When i do curls my veins pop out but they go back tio normal after a while, i think its just extra blood being pumped to the working muscles...

I don't see the appeal myself.
My mate has what I can only describe as blue shoelaces running down his arms and it's quite unattractive.

Don't think the same can be said vice versa! I don't want any veins showing as I am female. It disappeared after I had finished my workout, thank God. I just got a shock (and was pretty horrified) when I saw it in the first place.

I don't think veins look bad in a guy by the way.

you will only notice them around workouts so and really you should be more proud of them

I know what you mean about not wanting big veins. It's a catch 22 situation.
