Hey Blue_Rose, yes I'm studying Biomedical Science. Are you entering the CR320 programme this year?
And no, Biomedical engineering is no where near the same as Biomedical Science ;) Although Biomed eng. is also a very important profession!

Yep, I'm starting biomedical science this year... Tomorrow to be fair.
Are either of you two having trouble registering online for UCC?
I know we need to pay something along the lines of 150e there too, but when I get to the payment part of the online registration they're looking for another 1650 off me.
I hope to christ thats a mistake because its the first year it's been run as a joint course...

Well I'm already in Biomedical science so won't be starting today with ye but I hope that everything goes well. I had a look at your timetable there and it looks so much better to when I was a wee first year.

I did have problems paying my fees with UCC but they staff in the fees department were really good to deal with and sorted it out. I wonder whether that 150E you're meant to pay is for your health screening and immunisations?

Anyway, do report back as to how day one went

will it be very hard not having done chemistry before?
how much time is spent in UCC? is it 50/50 between UCC and CIT or what?

    sorry for all the questions!

Yeah its 50/50 between the two during the week.. Just to warn you the holidays are ****!! 'Cause UCC get a month off for easter and CIT get a month off for christmas you only get like 2 weeks for the two holidays! If I'd known that last year I probably would have gone to Dublin...
