I currently have an O2 mobile modem for my internet access since the area i live has no broadband coverage at this time.
As you can imagine having only the one modem it does lead towards fights between teh various family members!! Short of buying more modems i was looking to install a 3G compatible wirless router of which i believe there are a few on the market.

    Question:
Has any one else used this method?
    How successfull were you?
Recommendations on which router to buy and where i can get one?

    Thanks
    Steven

We have this set up in our new house due to broadband not being installed yet.
Be really careful not to go over your cap.
You will need a pc/laptop plugged in to the router and the 3G dongle working from that.

Is there any foolproof guides to this online?
I've been trying to do it for weeks, trawled through loads of sites, but just can't get it going!

Why don't you set up one computer to be the "server" and then use Internet Connection Sharing that comes in XP and probably vista as well. Then you can share the modem without having to disconnect.

We used to do this with dial up :D Imagine 4 people sharing a 56k connection... Ahh...
