I just know that a whoe heap of blokes just opened this up :)

I just thought I'd give a heads up about a new programme starting at Informed Performance. We have our one and only female fighter Amanda coaching a brand new women's only class at 6pm tomorrow.

The reason we started this class was to allow greater access to the kind of fitness that fighters get for women. Many girls are turned off the regular classes we do due to the presence of extremely smelly blokes and the thoughts of having to spar of fight. So this class doesn't have either 1) blokes, 2) sparring. In addition, it seems to us and to Amanda that the only type of fitness class available to women is of the workout to music type. Not everyone likes or enjoys that.

So this is not a cardio kickboxing class, this is a genuine class to learn the techniques and to gain the fitness that all of our regular members and fighters get. It's perfect for beginners who want to come down. The class costs €80 per calendar month which includes membership to Informed Performance Gym.

Turn up tomorrow or any Tuesday or Thursday at 6pm to begin! Directions etc. here

If your a lady from this area then this is a great opportunity, i train a number of girls but as part of the normal class and they all tell me that lots of there friends want to do it but wont because they dont want to train with men, hopefully in the future i can set up an all girls class but as i said, Girls if you are curious go up and check informed performance out, mma is great fun and a great work out..

Thanks Paul. We're starting this because of feedback we've been getting, like yourself, from girls who don't want to come to a bloke's class.

The other reason is that from talking to women there is a general sort of frustration that many places were great results are got are the preserve of men, either by accident or design. It's not easy walking into a weight room or into a 99% male class when you're looking to train. Hopefully this class goes some way to addressing that.

I think it's a great idea Roper and hope it works out.

    But,

at what point is the difference between raisining awareness of a fitness service cross to free advertising?

Is it a users post count?

    :pac:

I'm starting to wonder this myself....

Well why didn't someone delete the threads about G'em's oly lifting workshop, or Transform's many radio appearances then? I'm sure of equitable treatment, that's why I posted this here.

There may well be a fine line between them, but I'm advocating something new and different and i think I make some contribution to this board, though what that contribution is may be up for debate.

Roper, between yourself, Will and Dan@IPG we have three employees from the same company advertising wares. There's nothing equitable about it.

In future please contact one of the Mods before posting these threads. We're discussing this amongst ourselves and will get back to you shortly.

EDIT: Roper you guys have already been in talks with Dav about having an Official Company Rep account. Until that gets set up no more posts advertising the business, please.
