Hi, I was just wondering whether anyone has tried this for recovering from sports injuries. It was recommended by a colleague as I have had problems with my feet (mainly ankle ligaments) for a number of years. However I rang up and the guy wants to book me in for 3 sessions (at 70 euro a pop) before he has even had a look at me. I'd be interested to hear from any opinions on this or anyone who has tried this. Thanks!

PM me who the guy is and I'll let you know if it's guy I use who I can recommend.
It made a huge difference to muscles in my back and helped alleviate a lot of plantar fasciitis pain in my feet.

I found it quite helpful for my back.

I'd happily recommend the fella I went to see. Could well be the same fella that you're thinking about seeing.

    Most likely. Surname McC ?

That's the guy I go to. He's straight up, very good at what he does.

It is expensive though, and you can't get any refunds from private health insurance for the treatments.

That'll be him alright. Yeah it's a tad pricey. I'm sceptical of physios, etc. who try and get u back a few times, but he must be good. Glad to hear it worked for you. Anyone used this for foot injuries on non back related injuries?

The friend of mine that recommended him to me went to him with an ankle problem, that wasn't resolved with a number of weeks physio, and got it cleared up in three sessions.

He's not the type that'll try and harass you into more appointments than necessary, simply because he's busy enough to not need to.

Cheers for that Rosco. Had to wait 2 weeks for an appointment, so he certainly seems busy! Glad to hear it worked for someone with ankle problems. I'll be getting called chocolate ankles soon if I don't get this sorted!!

had a few good reports back from clients with this method but just as many from clients who have done ART also - find what works for you really.

I had ART on a shoulder injury about 18 months ago. It was excellent.

I found the treatment quite tough, but after a couple of days I felt great.

I had a bad injuery in my lower back a few years ago. Went to a guy I know who practises Amatsu. Not the guy ye are talking about(different initials) but amazing. I had gone to a voodoo doctor chiropractor before for another back injury and he did nothing for it.

After having the amatsu, it felt so much better. Also, it can be done as gentle as you need. So if you're in quite a lot of pain, it doesn't need to be a case of the treatment being worse than the ailment.

Bottom line: Another strong reccomendation here.

Just gonna resurect this thread here guys. I've been having a few problems with my back for over a month now. Constant pain is doing my nut in. I've been to physio and chiropractor and fat lotta good they did. Feel good for about 5 minutes.

Can anyone reccomend anyone who can sort me out?

    Cheers.

Amatsu is brilliant for so many things. it changed my life, from being in chronic pain everyday to unravelling layer by layer my problems and and later finding the source of the issue. never thought my stomach could have given me so much grief skeletally..
i had tired so many different therapies and amatsu is the only one that has worked bringing me back into full health.

you can find a no of very good amatsu practitioners on http://www.amatsu-ireland.com/
