Hot tea on a bare stomach is worse.

Tea is rank! Drink cranberry/grapefruit instead.

Sounds like you have an insensitivity to Caffiene.

Try Decaf tea and see if you have the same problem?

It's a misquote from the film The Departed. You now have to glass him to follow up the quote correctly.

    Tea is glorious.

I wouldn't be able to live without my morning cuppa. I have at least 5 a day.

    Lyons ftw

    It's bloody annoying.

I can't drink the thing unless I'm after food or it makes me nauseous.
The phrase, "Tea AND biscuits" springs to mind.

Isn't there some manner of non-tea drinking/wussy forum we can throw this thread to?

Nope. I find it's the best thing to drink when I'm too hungover and wrecked to eat. Settles me greatly.

Yup, I've noticed drinking tea on an empty stomach will coat the inside of your stomach with a tea-like residue which can be quite uncomfortable (at least is the conclusion I came to). I try to drink a few glasses of water or whatever to dissolve it away.

I'd go further than that - I'd say it's actual tea.

You could if you wanted to, I dared not put forward such a bold hypothesis. Fear of ridicule you know.

Nah, I don't think it's the caffiene tbh ... I can drink tea grand after food, but without any food in it, it sends my stomach up the swanee.

Could it be lactose intolerance? A lot of people suffer that without realising it.

Nothing like a nice iced tea on a day like this :pac:

Really? You never just dollop your breakfast into a nice mug of tea?

Obviously I don't put my food im my tea.
Now biscuits are a different story altogether of course.

I highly doubt it, most people laugh at the tiny drop of milk I put in my tea. :D

Tea is rank with too much milk in it. :( It completely stifles the flavour.

Couldn't agree more. But it's scary the amount of people who take tea with their milk!

Usually start the morning with a glass of warm water first, then cup of tea after.
