Either-library when there's hardly anybody there, in the desks by the windows on Q+3, or else the river when you go down the steps by the Glucksman. (Though I did get advised to leave there by a very unenthusiastic security guard the other night)

I love the Windle building, not just because of my course, I actually think it's really nice.

Brookfield makes me feel warm and safe and at-home.

Q+3 is great, cause I can see everything!

Pharmacy building is pretty nice, but I'm hoping the IT building will live up to my lofty expectations and surpass it.

Other than that, anywhere with comfy seats will do me.

Common room. Spent way too much time in there last year. The chairs at the front of the library are pretty cool for people watching as well. :pac:

the river walk in the lower gardens, the aula max (really feels like an old university), the smaller tower meeting rooms are well cool for meeting.

I'm loving the IT building. had to go back to the Kane to collect stuff today - what a dump that is.

The second floor of the ORB. I waste so much time in there between eating chicken rolls, talking **** and the occasional nap. There is also the added thrill of knowing you might not escape alive from the maze that is the ORB:eek:

I always liked wandering the corridors of the different wings and taking those worn smooth step up the registrars office. Reminds you of how old and established the place is and how many students have been there before you.

My friend once got a bee in her hair outside the booles and ran, screaming her tits off and with flailing limbs, the whole way past the study room, nobody inside could see the bee obviously, so it just looked like some crazy bitch

love just sittong on the benches opposite the library and just people watching. if you are there for more than two minutes you are guaranteed to bump into someone you know!

the quad in general really, or when you are upstairs and the view onto it.. so pretty!! i have recently discovered the wonders of glucksman.. went in there with two friends recently and we came out so relaxed, the ideal place to go if ya feel like getiing away from everything! why didnt i know this last late april/early may-ish??

Apart from the common room, you can't beat sitting by the big glass wall on the ground floor of the Student Centre Cafe-Restaurant-Thing. You can see everthing going on in Honan Square from there......not that I'm a nosey person or anything!

    Tom's room?

It was the room to the left as you walked into the Old bar. The Old bar is still there right???

Yes the Old Bar is still there. Why was it called Toms room btw?

Pretty sure there's a kitchenette yoke there now. Mardyke Arena is the best in UCC. All that talent :D and the fact that it's the best equipped gym I've ever been in. You've got your pool, running track, hockey pitch, soccer pitch, GAA pitch, basketball court, climbing wall, dance studio, cardio area and weight area. And it's a great looking building in a nice location as well.

And I love the aesthetics of the Kane building too.

Tom was the guy that owned/managed the bar.

UCC normally has a convention on in January and the talent that flowed into that place for the weekend was impressive.

The court yard opposite Boole 4.

    The tables outside Java.

The Big Tree outside Brookfield HSB. (or bed as i like to call it)

The Computer Room on the new bar side of the ORB on the third floor, specifically the desk straight opposite you as you walk in the door, you know the one with the sign that says Reserved for Staff and has the really comfy swivel chair!!

I hope to god you're joking?

The Kane is by far the ugliest building on campus!

Agreed. I heard somewhere that it actually won an award or something for its architecture!

Yeah I heard that too. Makes you wonder what it was up against!

The interior of the Kane is mostly alright, except for G7. God I hate that room!
Half of my lectures are there this year. If ever there was a lecture room where you'd catch Legionnaire's disease, it's that fcukin place.

On the upside, the other half of my lectures are in the big new shiny IT building.

It did win an award, it was also built backwards!

That old story - never found out for certain if it was true or not. But no matter which way you turn that building, it's ugly.

I dunno, I have a lotta places... the common room obviously, my friends literally live in there! Also the boole basement is nice IMO and relaxing on a sunny day in the presidents garden :)

To be fair, they go home at night.

Well if they live there UCC should charge rent. This could be a handy revenue stream for the university. Forget fees i've solved the colleges funding problem;)

Defo the Aula Maxima and the Library (except during exams, too many people at a time scare me).
