Myself and FC were discussing costumes last night, and i came to the conclusion something monster hunter related would do me...
Now my full wyvern hunting armor would be a bit of a pain to drag with me.

so i was thinking light stuff, more like :

    BatmanBegins_1.jpg

or some of the stuff here

Hmmmmmmmm.......you know..........I think if I wear all black, paint a red symbol on the chest, a red symbol on the forehead, and wear make up with black eyes and mouth, I could make a passable.........

    219807-146644-mr-sinister_super.jpg

Now that's if I put in the effort, right now I'm trying to find something that will take minimum effort.

    2) community manager
co creator  *puts grames name on the list*

kharn is his personal account, just to clear that up (joking aside :p) his official account is Dav and in no way represents his personal life, opinons or hobbies (such as the Noc forum).

i actually was thinking of dressing up as Nocs, but i decided armor was more tempting :p

guys, does anyone know where I can get a really cheap pinstripped suit (pinstripes not actually necessary) for my costume I've been planning it for a year and need it to be put into action ;)

its either my old friend tommy lee jones
    leejones.jpg
or the mystical ninja that has has never been photographed when I.... or whoever his normal identity is/may be... is dressed as said ninja >_>

That basement can have awesome stuff in it,also,tk max in stephens green, some good finds there.

    Linky Rhyme?
Or are ya embarrassed at being a tArtlet? ;)

+1'ing TKMaxx, you can find some really weird and unusual stuff there if you dig deep enough. Checking the racks in the three big outlets (Stephens Green, Swords and Drogheda) can net you just about anything if you're lucky. They sold sword-canes once

Nah, just have an anti-self-promotion tic in my brain.

The suit in the sketches is sorted as well as some of the props, the mask is another matter.

thought this might help. its the same shape as the beak you drew. just print it out so that the long rectangle on the second one is the hight you want the beak to be when it reaches your face (as in, measure from the bottom of your chin to the midpoint of your nose). just thought it might make it easier to do when you have a basic shape

    *scale images*

Thanks, those should help a lot.

I've got my hands on one of those small plastic cones you see being used for childrens soccer matches. I'll be carving, melting and painting it into shape next chance I get. Those drawings will be great for scaling the top and edges without getting melted plastic on my face :)

Last year I made my own costume and it took a lot of time and effort. I couldn't do it again. this year I just have to revamp some booties but that should be ok

I think its more fun to build your own. Remember that party we went to with the guy who made a costume of the milk carton from that Blur video? Pure genius!

Hmm I'm debating Batgirl or random other costume (given that I've never actually *gone* as batgirl)

Also Trow -- I love that costume, I'd thought about it but you'll look so much better, I'm excited to see it :D
oh and Shelly - if anyone else wears the same as you - they won't look half as fab ;)
